I have actually found this forum to be relatively free from serious trolls. I belong to several video game related forums and am quiet the legendary poster in a few of them. They are vicious, vile and harsh places where we troll each other on hardware, OS, skill, literary and many other things. Most here can be relegated to the blind fan person mentality. It is tame here and the mods work hard to keep it friendly, kinda refreshing actually. Keeping on topic is another issue entirely.

Oh, you really should buy a Provari AND an MVP 2, so you can swag like a baws. Haters gonna hate.

Several years ago I was a mod on a gamers forum. I admit, it was a fun group- but very very different. Yes, this is quite calm in comparison.

So many calendar entries today.

The kids get advent calenders full of German Kinder chocolate...

I get a Feelings Calendar.

:censored:

[edit] pardon my typo - it's 'wine friday' at work today.

The FC is for the forum. That way when somebody gets all offended instead of reporting it & making Dusty actually do something for a change, they can go to the FC & mark it off.

:censored: feelings. :)

From what I understand, being ignored by the moderators is a privilege in itself. Congratulations!! You've now reached level 2.

I have been a moderator, administrator, and/or co-owner, owner of many forums and groups in the last 20 years. ECF is more rule bound than many but less restrictive than quite a few that put members on "Time out" on a daily basis, but I understand and appreciate the basis for ECF's structure. They have a responsibility to their members, future vapers, and the public, both pro and con, who participate or lurk. ECF is basically the "Face of Vaping" that people the world over have access to. It needs to be positive and factual, but at the same time, let vapers from many walks of life, interact and exchange ideas, experiences, and opinions without it turning into a free for all.

I enjoy ECF.

There is an "art" in typing your thoughts into words, without the recipients seeing the physical and emotional attributes behind those words, and truly putting your thoughts into perspective.

Some people take a general statement, "personalize" it, and take it as a singled out attack on them.
Some people like to dissect your words.
Some people take only parts of your posts and distort them.
Some people don't know that "IMO", JMO", "OMO", etc., mean the poster is only stating THEIR opinion.
Some people just need to feel superior and love the game of "baiting".

And some people just don't play well with others.

My OPINION is just that, nothing more, nothing less. I own it. I can change it. It is based on experience, whether short or long termed, and will only change if the experience evolves in another direction. I don't block peeps if they chap my hide or if they're basically stuck on stupid, I enjoy watching humans, the good, bad, and ugly.

I'm not going to "opine" on something I have had no personal experience with. Vaping is continually changing, evolving, getting better, and in some areas, more knowledge warranted. As I get better gear, better juice, I don't wish to exchange the experience of starting with the analogy of vaping "on training wheels" to the gear I have now with better performance. The journey made me appreciate where I was, where I am now, and where I might be in the future.

Just my opinion.

That being said, I think the mods do a great job.:2c:

Please DON'T Stop!! Just like other rodents, Trolls got to eat too. I like to feed the no life having trolls. :p

Put it this way,
If we would all stop taking our garbage out and save it, then the rodents that depend on that will leave their dump and go out looking for other food to eat right?:(

Posting stuff that the trolls can vent on keeps them in their houses waiting and watching for threads to jump on.
If you stop, then they will leave their homes and go out into the public, where we might have to deal with them in person.8-o

SO Please for at least the Holiday season keep Feeding the Trolls and keep them in doors. :)

Slight problem with your logic there. When you feed something, a while later there's an unavoidable consequence, ergo feeding the trolls means we just end up knee deep in it.
