I'm having a lot of trouble with my new vape. It's the alien al85 and every time I take a hit for like 3 seconds I start coughing because I feel like there's too much vapour. I start out on 20 watts and have the airflow a quarter open. I keep on trying to change the settings but nothing helps. [Removed] I want to make clouds and I can't. I had vape pens that were able to produce some okay clouds with and I never coughed or had trouble breathing with them. I tried my Freinds box mod and it was on 30 watts and I did just fine. I really need to know what is going on and how I can fix this ASAP.

It's taken me 4 years to tolerate 40 watts. Not everyone can just vape at any power they feel like.

You have to compare the design/coil/airflow/power of two similar atomizers to draw any conclusions.
30w on two different types could be quite contrasted in the way they provide the vapor.

What happens if you lower the power and reduce the airflow? Do you need to inhale direct/mouth to lung at a certain power. There are lots of variables in modern vaping.

Maybe you're not ready for it. Doesn't make you a freak or anything... (really...) :)

Need to know what tank, coils, ohms you are using. Depending on the setup it might be to hot at 20 watts. I vape regularly at 13-15 watts but with the right juice and coils going up to 120 has been no problem. Also your throat needs time to adjust as well. Don't worry about making clouds just find a good wattage to keep off the smokes.
