Welcome to the forum. You should have "free space" between the 510 pin on your tank and the 510 connection on your mod. Is the 510 pin on the tank extending far below the threads? Is your mod's 510 pin sticking up beyond the threads? Something is awry.
Thanks

Thanks for replying so soon. Yes there is free space and I have tried several tanks so I agree something is awry. I bought this from my go to shop. But I lost the receipt & the guy is a dick, oops tmi. So thank you anyway, I'll just keep taping the tank threads and live with this. It's a shame tho I live in Vancouver Canada so I paid $70.00 for the mod.

Just to be clear you’re talking about the spring loaded center pin in the 510 connection, right?

Assuming the problem is that the 510 connector is shallow, there are several standard solutions to snug things up, fiber washers are traditional, but something as simple as some cardboard and a hole punch works too.

Hi, I just joined the forum so glad to be here. Anyway I have been experiencing alot problems w/my new Cloupor gt mod and the spring loaded thread. I have tried everything but I can't get my smok vct tank to fit
And now I'm worried I've stripped the threads. Any suggestions? Thanks
Welcome and glad you joined.
There a quite a few causes that result in the stripped thread problem you defined.
Might try a 510 TO 510 and or EGO ADAPTER :
http://www.evcigarettes.com/eleaf-510-to-ego-thread-adapter-connector-by-ismoka/
510 to Ego Adapter
510 to eGo Adapter - $2.49 : EasyVapors.com, Electronic Cigarette Cartridge and Cartomizer Refills ELiquid
Often, this improves connectivity, and have found this works for me.
Cons:
1. Adds height to your mod. However, the flip side is I can get my fingers on my RDA bottom casing and quickly unscrew the RDA if I wish.
2. The design of most 510 - Ego Adapters has meager/if none adjustable center pin capability.
"I would of gladly paid a little more money if I could of ordered the Ismoka 510 - Ego Adapter with an adjustable 510 to 510 center pin.
REF: HELP! Eleaf iStick 100w and Aspire Cleito Tank
The big adapter Pro is, it is a sacrificial lamb, if you strip the brass threads, just replace with another adapter.
Strongly suggest you take you equipment to a B&M vape shop or a garage mechanic and ask for assistance.

Unless you bought this in 2015, that’s a huge rip off. I’m all for buying from B&Ms, but that mod is like $20 from fast tech without using any coupons.

Do yourself a favour and check out Canadian online retailers next time. Www.dashvapes.com does free shipping. They also have a store in Burnaby.

I am one of those Anti-spring loaded 510 guys.. I believe that the spring loaded 510 solved one problem, but introduced 5 different problems in it's place. For me, the worst was juice leaking into the tank (ruined 3 mods) as well as some 510's had a bigger gap than others. My solution was to fit a Kepler style heat sink, which acts as a barrier between the 510 and the atomizer. I'd suggest looking on Fasttech, since they have a wider selection of sizes/colors, or you can try locally. I keep one on EVERY mod, and I've had few problems with any of them. I'd suggest you get one with a threaded center pin, some of them have screw heads, but no threads on the screws.

Thank you for this info, I asked my shop guy & he sold me another product that doesn't work! So hopefully this will solve my problem & I can move on.
