I'm havin some trouble with my new tugboat rda. I had the first gen forever and loved it, never had any problems. But I just got a new brass tug with the copper post. And now no matter what I do I get a burnt taste on my mouth. It's almost like a plastic taste or maybe a coil taste I'm not sure. I did a .25 wrap with single 24 gauge and also a .30 wrap with single 24 gauge. Changed cotton numerous times and still the same result. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you made sure post are tight? One time I had a screw loosen up and it was arcing in the post and making a horrible metallic taste.
Ya I always check to make sure they are tight. Usually check every day or two just to make sure.
I have the same issue with my green tugboat. I sorta fixed it by using a different drip tip. But I still get it. I think it is coming from the color on the inside of the cap. I am still trying to fix it.
