Let me start off by saying that I am fairly new to vaping (quit analogs and have been vaping full time since 6/6/11). In this short amount of time I have tried MANY eliquids. I was fortunate enought to give Halo a shot in my first week, and ordered the sample pack. Malibu, Tribeca, Tiki, and Prime 15 all "knocked my socks off", the other flavors, Menthol Ice, Freedom, and Torque 56 were not really my cup of tea.

I quickly placed an order for 30ml bottles of Malibu, Tiki, and Tribeca. And I just placed another order last night for (Malibu, Tiki, Bella (hoping I like it!), and Prime 15). Needless to say, I am digging Halo's offerings.

Last week I purchased some dirt cheap Halo liquids from esmokeyshack who shut down his site and was "clearing out" the rest of his Halo liquid. Awesome, I get to try more Halo juice for an amazing price. One of the flavors I was able to get from him was Truepure, which I was excited to try, as it seems to have a large following of people that love it.

I have been vaping it for the last two days and I don't really care for it, and here is why.

It seems to have a strong chemical/plastic/burnt rubber smell/taste to it. I have tried both dripping on a LR and regular atty, and have been using it in 2 different cartos (both brand new, not cleaned/reused).

I cannot pinpoint the smell/taste I am getting, but the best I can describe it as is burnt rubber.

Am I crazy? I really want/wanted to like it, but I dont see it happening. I like how mellow it is for being a menthol, and it truly has an almost "nasty" quality to it that reminds me of a cigarette (i like this part of it), but there is some strong overtone I am getting that is putting me off.

Anyone else experience this, I would be interested to get some feedback, good or bad, with regards to Truepure. Could this batch possibly be bad?

Being the biggest Truepure fan out there, my first thought is that the juice may be old. Also, if you do not like Menthol Ice, then it may be the menthol in Truepure that you do not care for.

I do get another flavor other than menthol in Truepure. I cannot describe it, but it is what makes Truepure stand out to me over Coolmist & Menthol Ice. I like both if those, but it is the particular backgroung of Truepure that has me hooked.

The only time I have ever gotten a burnt taste was one time when I did not get a new carto wet enough.

I hate that you have gotten this impression from Truepure. What is the born on date on the bottle?

it did not have a born on date on the bottle. it did have a lot code though. i got it from esmokeyshack while he was selling of the last of his halo liquids. i got them for really cheap ($5/30ml). i have since traded them.

in all honesty, it might be for the best that i have a couple of halo flavors that i dont dig. i am already in the habit of buy tiki, malibu, tribeca, and prime 15. =P
