Trustfire charger problem

It worked fine for the last 4 weeks, and when there are no batteries inserted or they are fully charged the lights are green. With batteries charging they are red. Now one stays red, with our without a battery, charged battery, or charging battery. Which leads me to believe it may not be charging them...any ideas on a quick fix? Or anyone had this problem? Guess I'm just gonna throw it out and upgrade if it's a lost cause...here are a few pics..

If not experienced in electronics repair you should dispose. It is good practice to routinely measure voltage output; should be around 4.2v. Maybe it could be repaired if only use it in a metal box to make sure it won't cause fire. I bought mine 7-11-11 and it is still working perfect.

This is why cheap chargers can be an expensive proposition. It you are going to replace it look at an Xtar or a Pila. They tend not to do things like this. For a few bucks more than you probably paid for the Trustfire you could have got an Xtar WPII 2 - with a 2 year warranty.

Depending on where you bought the TrustFire you may want to ask what their warranty or exchange policy is.

Personally - no. Too many reports of them crapping out the same way TrustFire chargers do - and some times taking out the batteries when they do it. They appear to have as many quality control problems as TrustFire.

I'd check voltage output of any charger to make sure it isn't over charging.
Good idea to set up a sturdy metal box for charging just in case batt decides to vent.
Some RC hobbyist use ammo box.
I use metal tool box.
Just make sure you don't short the AC cord; can drill hole and use a grommet.
