I started off with ego 650 and 900mAh, didn't like the big ones at all. Then after 3 months of vaping I ended up buying an Itaste 134: iTaste 134 - Best Electronic Cigarette | E Cigarette Manufacturer|Best Vape MOD| Innokin and that is huge! I got used to it, and now I prefer my full size ProVari (which is a great deal smaller than the 134). I find it funny to pick up my ego 650mAh again.
Point is: you get used to the size. And in one way it's great that your vapourizer is not that similar to a cigarette.

But the egos, even thoughthey are small and cheap, did their thing: I got off cigarettes!

Oh thank you all so much!!! I have been trying to research this on my own - and I couldn't be more confused :) Disposables are worthless to me - LOL, I smoked a LOT, so I went through that thing in like 5 hours!

I am looking over all your info - a LOT to digest...so far I like this Halo G6 starter kit - It looks the way I want it to kind of - is it refillable?? And do I have to replace the coil things?? LOL, it shows you how much I really don't understand :)

I don't think there is a good store here - they sell disposables and WalMart has the Mystics.....The eGo kits are confusing me a bit :/ I want something that is automatic because the button messed with me with the ecig I had years ago.

I would love to figure out how to make my own liquid someday!! I didn't even know you could do that!!!

I am down to 2-3 smokes a day from 2 packs a day - but I have to admit, this will be hard to stick with if I don't get more consistency and some more vapor....any more suggestions?? Am I on the right path here?? Thank you so much for welcoming me:oops: - I really need to work this....this is kind of my last hope as bad as that must sound :(

The liquid is mainly glycerin and propylene glycol.
The glycerin you get from the pharmacy; USP grade.
The propylene glycol (PG) ask at the pharmacy, or you look for it at farm supply stores.
Use a 50/50 mix.

I would soooo like to have more vapor - it is more a mouth feel issue with me and weight I think - and I definitely KNOW I need something without that button thing - LOL!!
The problem with no button, (those are called automatics by the way) is that because of the design they work by sensing air pressure. I'm explaining this badly...

Okay. Automatic e-cigs use an air-pressure switch to turn on and off. because of this, the atomizer, filled with liquid, also has to have an open connection for air to travel through. The problem with this is that where air can come through, liquid can go. Those switches don't work well when wet. This is why you won't find buttonless models of e-cig in larger sizes.

Trust me, pushing a button to get your vape on will become second nature very quickly.

In the meantime, this is one of the best ways to re-fill your cartos. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ethod-carto-filling-k-upside-down-condom.html I don't know what method you were using before, so I hope this helps you out in the short term.

I have to agree with everyone else here. I had tried a couple of disposable e-cigarettes and they did nothing for me. A friend of mine quit last year using a larger evod style device. I finally gave in and ordered an evod starter kit.

My suggestions:

1. try to give up on the idea that it needs to look and feel like a cigarette.
2. if you have any local vaping shops, stop in. They will probably allow you to sample some liquids through a non-cigarette looking drip tip.
3. keep an open mind, you are giving up cigarettes and replacing them with something that is better for you, those around you, and, most of all, tastes and smells SO MUCH BETTER.
4. you may think that you want your e-cigarette to taste like a cigarette, but after you sample some of the other flavors, you will likely change your mind.

I made the switch from smoking 1.5 packs per day for 26 years to vaping in May using an evod style device. My cigarette use dropped to a few per day immediately. After about 10 days I completely gave up on tobacco. I haven't missed it one bit. I have upgraded (through trial, error, and a lot of reading others opinions) to a Kanger Mini Protank 2 on an itaste vv v3 battery. I can't tell you how amazed I am that quitting was that easy. I tried every quit smoking program known and was never able to quit. Yesterday at 7 am marked one month of me being completely tobacco free.

I find the Halo G6 model works very well. It got me off cigarettes and keeps me off them

I do own bigger battery system and tank style atomizers but I still use the Halo G6 everyday. At least 1 if not 2 of them go with me everywhere I go.

I also refill the cartomizers on a regular basis, like 3-4-5 times a day. The trick to refilling any atomizer, cartomizer or clearomizer, is to not let it run dry. Once it runs dry the wicking material gets burnt and once that happens you never get rid of that burnt taste. So that is why I refill the Halo cartomizers as much as I do. I like to keep them wet.

For me I needed something that was LIKE a cigarette when I started. I still like the convenience of putting one in my mouth and not have to press a button to make it work.

Best of luck to you and welcome to the forum.

Just wanted to toss some encouragement out to OP. I'm on Day 2 of trying to move from smokeless tobacco to a PV. Using a simple and cheap Itaste that looks like a fountain pen at the moment, but it I am successful at keeping my lip clear I will probably upgrade to a better unit. Keep after it.
Thanks so much - good luck to you too :) I am not giving up - LOL!! I will find something that works - I am more dedicated to quit this time than I have ever been :D

Okay, first off - you people are like the best people ever in the world to me right now :) I think I am going to try the EVOD kit - I found one on Ebay for 24.00 today - so not a big expense and two batteries (which I have learned I definitely need - LOL) Do those coils need replaced a lot??

One more question tonight before I drive everyone here crazy - LOL, is the Halo G6 refillable?? It says it comes with prefilled cartridges - which I am definitely moving away from ASAP.

Okay, well 2 more actually - Out of the two, which gives more vapor? Am I going to lose my mind learning how to use that button??

You people are the best ((hugs))

Yes the Halo cartomizers are refillable. But like all atomizers they do get clogged over time.

I refill mine 3-4-5 times a day. The trick is not to vape on them until they are dry. Refill them before all the juice is used up and they last a pretty long time. I have one I've refilled for 2 weeks. I'm still vaping on it. Just had a Vape on it.

I used to use a coil for a week then it was just so bad it had to change.
After months of experience and with cotton rewicking, I use a coil maybe 3 days before deciding it needs to change; sometimes a coil is working so good it keeps running for a week.

I don't know the g6 but usually cartridges/cartomizers can be refilled; open it up with a paperclip and use a syringe to add more juice.; but you might want to get a real clearomizer instead.

clearo's and carto's are going to taste very different because of the wicking; the amount of fog/vapor is going to vary- depends on airflow; you might find cartos more consistent; bottom coil clearos are susceptible to flooding which causes dropoff in fog and flavor.

The Evod style will, or should, give you more noticeable vapor productions.

This is something I wanted after a short time vaping on the Halo gear. But you know what, I don't care anymore. I still like using the Cig A Like halo stuff because it has auto batteries, is convenient to carry and stick in my pocket and the flavor from the Tribeca juice is very good from the Halo cartomizers, at least I like it.

I really think you would be better off going with a tank and a variable voltage ecig. Good equipment is a big part of the battle. Once you have that finding an eliquid you can live with all day is the next hurdle. Cartomizers are a starter but are expensive and are a throwaway product. Prefilled cartos keep you tied to a supplier don't go there.

That in my honest opinion (IMHO) is Half the battle. If you are ready you are on the right path.

Best of luck to you.

Well you are completely mistaken. Yes if the carto's are SEALED you can't refill them but with any that you can take the little rubber/silicone mouth piece out of and see the filler material you can refill it. I even refill the Blu carto's I have from when I tried the Blue brand of Cig A Likes.

Expensive? Yes depending on what brand. Halo's stuff isn't that expensive. Not like V2. Halo starter kit is 44.99. V2 is somewhere around 60-70 and the newest V2 cartos are a seal unit.
