If you got premade juice, you're good to go - no mixing required.

Just wanted to say it's really fun to see your enthusiasm and excitement! So glad you're loving it! :thumb:

YES!! I got the right thing :D I am excited as crazy as it sounds to NOT be smoking...who would have ever guessed?? My kids and hubby are so happy! Seriously, with the way I was headed...I would have only had 5-10 years til oxygen, and I have an 8 year old daughter :( My mom died from emphysema in 2007, and we had tried EVERYTHING to quit...if only she could have found something like this...I would still have my mom, I think....but I will not make the same mistakes....

I also WAS a singer until about 5 years ago, but I couldn't do it anymore....excited to see if I ever will again...it was my passion :D

Without your help...I wouldn't still be trying...I hope someday, I can help people here instead of a pain in the .... - LOL!!
Not ONE cig today!! My new all time record...LOL!!

Oh I have to update!!!! The Evod is PERFECT for me - I use the Halo when out and about - I dumped ejuice on myself at a parade the other day - LOL, so I need to be more careful with the evod.....I have had ONE cigarette in 5 days (that was one morning before work because I couldn't keep an eye on the time while vaping :( )!!! I seem to kind of vape all day though - but with a pack and a half a day, I guess I was probably smoking all day before.
The ejuice I bought at the store I was able to find here was TERRIBLE!!! Think chewed mint gum and plastic - LOL!! But it will do in a pinch - I have started looking into mixing my own, and know what to do now :)

I have been vaping a lot in the house and am a little worried since my air has been on and the house is closed up - I don't want my 8 year old or my lung conscious 17 year old picking up nicotine - but I think compared to what I had in my clothes and car, this can't be nearly as bad :)

I do notice in the morning my chest feels a little tight, but breathing better throughout the day already - and no inhaler for a week!!!

I could not have done this without you guys!! ((hugs))

I tried to quit about 2 years ago and went to e-cigs you can buy at the gas station. It was just not cost effective for two reasons. 1) the cartridges are expensive and 2) it never went out like a cig would and I would puff it A Lot more often and for longer periods of time! So, I went back to cigs after 4 mths :/ My town recently got a Vape store so I thought I would stop in to see what the deal was with vaporizers. The staff was very informative and I thought I would give quitting another go. I just bought a Kanger Evod 2 starter kit with eGo batteries on Friday. I like the tip very much, but they are interchangeable if the one that comes with it doesn't work for you. The unit itself is what they would call a "pen" style. Of course it's bigger and heavier than a cig, but I just hold it differently. It's not a big deal to me. What IS a big deal to me is not "smoking", no tobacco use, no more nasty ashtrays and ashes. No more do I have my smokes, do I have enough smokes, do I have my lighter before I go anywhere. Plus no more throwing money out the window for having to toss half smoked cigs. Good luck!

I am glad to hear you are doing so well! I tried the e-cigs too with little success... Keep at it! Once you get over the "I need that real cig" hurdle, the rest is downhill!!
That is exactly what I feel like - kind of the real cigs taste bad now :) Public has been a little weird for me - LOL, at the parade, I felt like everyone was staring at me kind of....but I can deal with that...LOL, I am already kind of a weirdo

Oh my newest problem - I seriously vape ALL day....I gave myself a pretty good headache about now - I have been trying to drink more water, but I LIVE on coffee......how do you keep yourself from over vaping?? I have been vaping in the house, and I am little worried about my kids...I just don't want them to get hooked on nicotine because of me - I never smoked in the house, but when I go outside to vape - I feel like I want a cig....arghhhh...

This is really common (to vape more than you smoke). To keep from getting headaches, lower the nic level so that you can compensate for the increased intake of nicotine. Usually, the chain vaping settles down, although in my case I still vape almost constantly. At least I'm always carrying my PV around wherever I go, if not always puffing on it.

As I said, the constant chain vaping will calm down once your body gets used to the new delivery system - it's slower than smoking so you aren't getting an immediate rush of nicotine, so your brain thinks its not getting enough.

To put your mind at ease about vaping around your kids, here's a study showing no discernable nicotine in exhaled vapor:
Utah Vapers - Clearstream Air Results

Thanks so much!! Reading the study helps a LOT!! We have had the air on today and the windows shut, and I worried that the kids are getting something from my vaping...especially since I have been doing it so much....I am hoping I don't chain vape forever....when I get my own mixing stuff, I am going to try a bottle with less nic in it and see how I do :D I was worried it was just me

Congratulations!

It sounds like you're over the first big hurdle. Once real cigarettes start to taste crappy - and boy, they really are gross, aren't they? - the battle's nearly won.

Give it a couple more weeks, and you'll find yourself wondering how on earth you ever smoked those God-awful things in the first place.

:toast:

Thanks!!! I am sticking in there this time :D It was so weird that the cig tasted bad to me!! I would have NEVER thought that would ever happen! The smell is actually what got to me worse! I seem to actually SMELL when people are smoking around me!! I have made a promise to myself though that I will NEVER become one of those "mean" ex-smokers...I dealt with them in the past and they don't help anyone....just from me doing this well, I already have two friends that are trying ecigs :D They figure if I can do it, anyone can - LOL!!

You're really going to have to up the water intake to keep you hydrated since you drink coffee - which is a diuretic and makes you lose water!

Glad you've kept up!

I am trying to do the water thing - I got some Tang today, so I am going to mix it with the water so it tastes better...I think I am the only person who doesn't like the taste of water, even bottled or filtered, it tastes awful to me :(
