Hello everybody.

This is my first post in the forums, and i just wanted your advice with something.

i have been vaping for 4 months now using a v2 cigarette like e cig, while that greatly helped me to quit smoking the taste and vapor department are just not to my liking.

now i want to get myself one of them "good" e cigs and need your help to pick one,

what i want is something that is high quality because shipping stuff costs me a small fortune, i dont want something that will break easily or need constant spare parts, also want something that will produce a good amount of vapor and will not produce a nasty burn taste.

i would say my budget is around ~150$. and i really want a good quality mod,

i had my eyes on the apollo vtube v3 "cant post links as am a new member >_<.

a friend of mine has one of those and says they are good, but i still wanted a second opinion, one of the turn offs with the vtube was that it ONLY came with a protank 2, now i have no idea which tanks are good or which are bad, i just want one that does its job great and does not leak.

any advice or suggestions are welcome.

thanks in advance.

hi Richard and welcome to the forum. I just got my first mod, an eLeaf iStick 50W ($50 USD) and top it with Aspire Nautilus Mini ($30USD) which give great taste. I am very pleased with this set up. I plan on moving into sub ohm tanks in the near future, and this (4400 mah) iStick 50W can handle it. I really like the long lasting battery. A 5 pack of coils for the Nautilus runs about ($15 USD). I would recommend what ever direction you take, buy tanks with an adjustable air flow. Just my 2 cents worth. Good luck.

while i heard really good things about those "square" mods xD i'd prefer a normal cylinder one.

i dont know alot about coils and tanks but how long would you say a regular coil will last?

I cannot speak for Malaysia although my friend is Malaysian and vapes (in the UK).

BUT - I would not recommend any products by either V2 or Volcano. These are brand products at brand prices.

You can buy much better products for less money. :)

well the bad thing in malaysia is shipping.. it just costs too much.. so i try to stock up with e liquid and am trying to buy a good quality e cig with a good amount of coils and other spare parts.

I've had the Nautilus since mid/late January. I like it so much I have 4 of them, and instead of changing /cleaning tanks for juices I just swap them out. I have yet to burn up a coil. (YMMV your mileage may vary) When one coil gets slow, replace and then I just take the old one and soak it in vodka for a while, let it dry again before use. I haven't had one problem with my tanks or mods.

Nautilus on Spinner2 and 650 mah. (rubber band is to identify juice, keeps outfit from rolling off desk)

Can you order from China? China seems to post to most places for low shipping costs?

I think Sir has given you a good option. Check out 3avapes.com. I believe Jason is in Malaysia or Thailand and he has very good prices and service. The Ego1 is good if you want 1100Mah (less vaping time). I have about that in my Itaste VV4 which I do love with the nautilus tanks. I also have the MVP2.0 which has double the battery life (2400Mah i think) but its bigger than the Istick 50 watt, It's maxed out at 11watts. That's really just about fine with the nautilus tanks ( they really start to max out at about 13watts on the 1.6 or 1.8ohm coils).
You ask about kanger tanks...I have the kanger aerotank 1, Mini Aerotank, and protanks as well as the Kanger sub nano. I like the aero and mini, not so much with the prottanks (maybe if you add the air flow adjuster! Some people really...I mean really love them!!), and I think I am one of the few who doesn't LOVE the sub nano. I like it, but I don't love it. I am using it with the 1.2ohm coil and I find it really...I guess harsh. You have to understand that part of that is the juice I am using and part is really just personal preference!
I am thinking of adding the istick 50 to my own stable...either that or an IPV mini or the new MVP 3.0. I love the quality of Innokin mods, but the ergonomics of the IPV and Istick are a bit nicer. Maybe you should look here and check out this thread...It's a lot to absorb at this point!!

Hi, Richard, and Welcome to ECF!

Will FastTech ship to Malaysia? They have a very wide selection of stuff at really good prices, and ship for free to many many places.
This would open up a whole slew of options for you.
You will also have a significantly shorter wait for it then we in the States do! Just read very carefully! If you don't want a clone it HAS TO SAY "Authentic" in the description. If you want a clone (some are very good, and others are not) then either is fine! Just be sure you are ordering what you intend to order!

thank you all for your support i appreciate it alot.

you just have no idea how much my head is spinning right now because of the amount of stuff i read or watch ... i just cant get to choose a mod.

at first i wanted the vtube but then i found the sigelei 30w one ... well i was kinda convinced with the sigelei but then i saw that the minimum watt for the sigelei is 7 and some people say that if you use more than 6 watt on a lets say protank you will start getting dry hits. now i in no way want a non authentic mod, i want a really good quality mod that will last me a good while and a one that if i want to go in depth with vaping it will suffice, so i dont have to ship something again.

and as of FastTech yes they do ship to malaysia thank you for the suggestion but it still will cost a small fortune.. its just something with malaysia and shipping i guess.

i really hope someone will put me in the right direction here, i know there are simple non-variable watt mods out there but i dont want to have to order something else because mine isnt sufficient.

thank you all.

hmm, well what are the valid good options for the e cig mods with variable voltage do i have?

The Kanger subtank is a great tank that allows you to chose between 1.2ohm and .5ohm coils that last a good while as well as a rebuildable section if you decide to try building your own coils. If you are looking to stick to the tube mods then mech mods still fire the subtank nicely but if you want a tube with VV/VW then you have limited options. Joytech makes a 30 watt called the evic supreme which is nice but the lowest resistance is limited to .5ohm and you may want to step up in wattage. While 30 watts is plenty good for a tank it is nice to have the extra power and a lower resistance limit for rebuildable atomizers. The SMOK Bec Pro is a nice 50 watt feature packed VV/VW tube that fires down to .2ohm and is worth looking at. It has a cool bluetooth feature that allows you to connect with your phone to monitor puff stats and even adjust settings from the app. Don't forget batteries with your purchase. Also keep in min that batteries slow shipping down if they need to go through customs. Hope you find what you like and welcome to ECF.
