As hopefully you can see in one of these pics, there is a very rough V that juts into the .... area from the middle piece. It's a single coil and the holes in the two parts that unscrew are about 1 millimeter wide, as mith the .... at the end. It has written on the white part in between the .... and the main chamber (middle piece) E-Cigarette in gold. I was wondering if this e-cigarette would take manual "juice" or the cartridges I've heard about. I found it that's why I am unsure. The red LED at the tip grows brighter the longer you "toke" (to a point) and then dims when you stop. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I don't want to pay for something just to find out I've purchased the wrong thing. I'm sure everyone understands that philosophy... :)

Not sure of the specific brand but it's a 3 piece design, battery, atty and cartridge. (verses a 2 piece, battery and carto) There are literally hundred or these out there on the market. And for the most part they have proprietary parts and aren't interchangeable. But there are exceptions where you can get cheap off the shelf replacement parts.

Some are known as disposables. They don't come with a charger or extra cartridges and sell for ~ $10. A slight step up have spares and a charger. And you can refill them or purchase spare cartos/ cartridges. And some of those are heavily overpriced. Often selling for over $100 but hardly worth more then the disposables.

Next up would be ones that still look like a cig but sell for a fair price, have off the shelf parts and can work well for some folks.

For me, It's not until you get away from the look-a-likes that you get a really good value and something that can work for many more folks to quit smoking. These would be the Ego/ Kgo/Riva and all the other clones. They start selling for ~$40 and come with 2 batteries that have3-5 times the capacity and have really inexpensive replacement part.

After that the sky's the limit on mods, variable voltage, and all other sorts of things.

My guess is what you have is just one of the $10 disposables available from mini marts and drug stores.

Known... Its a 3 piece Battery, cartridge and atomizer. It is also an automatic (auto) battery.

I cant see into the cartridge, there "should" be a little piece in the catridge (brown part) if you popped out would be a clear white plastic filled with stuffing and a piece of foil over it.
The "V" on the atomizer would puncture this foil and sit in the stuffing. the juice is held by the stuffing and thats what makes the vapor.

Many times you might get a blank cartridge (no stuffing filled whiteish foil closed thingy) used for shipping to help protect the atomizer.

Now, there are several things it looks like, can you say where you got it (EDIT: nevermind, I just read th OP where you say you found it)? Did you get some cartridges for it?
There are 2 model famalies that it looks like to me.
M401/402/403/intellecig
or the 501/e-health/firelight
It might also be something compleatly different.

Thanks for the welcome to the forums!!!!
I shall see if my local tobacconist stocks any cato's and give one a whirl, (my hopes are not high as I would think he'd see this as the end of his business, lol).... It sounds about right that the "...." may have been filled with some absorbent material and juice of some sort, which would be punctured open upon insertion of the "...." (cato). The cato does have a very weak and inexpensive feel to the plastic it's made of (aka: disposable) and has a slight click on action as it reaches the seal to the atomiser. As to the matter of whether or not it's a cheapo disposable, I'm of two minds. It seems the only reason I'd be able to unscrew underneath the atomiser would be to perhaps screw it on to a recharger. Where the outside threaded part is the negative and the inner circle with the 1 mm hole in it would connect to the positive. They are shielded and if it was a once off use e-cigarette, I don't think they'd go to the trouble of making it threaded and detachable at all... It has air inlets at the LED end of the e-cigarette, as well as at the join, I suppose to promote the LED to light up as you draw air in to the e-cigarette. If it was designed to be recharged, does anyone have any suggestion as to what voltage and amperage should be used? I imagine a very small trickle charge is what is called for? Another quick question is, Is it legal to partake in the use of these devices inside say, a pub, workplace or other enclosed areas?
I thank you all for your comments so far and send my appreciation for anymore help that may be given.

You are probably correct on not finding anything in a tobacco shop, he would not be such a fool as to put himself out of business, you will have to find a local vapor shop, go online or maybe a local WalMart.
A cheapo disposable ? Id say yes, but you can play around with it if you can find some carto's and a means by which to charge the battery.
Here in the good old USA it is mostly legal, in reality there is no burning (ie) tobacco smoke, only vapor, water as well as other things.
I was in Sydney in 1967, nice place.
Good luck with it !

I think I would just go to one of the ECF vendors and get a decent kit. If you want a cigarette-sized PV then go for Vapor4Life, Bloog or SmokelessImage. If you want a bigger battery type then get a Kgo, Riva or eGo and some Boge 2.0 cartomizers. If you want something to last a really long time with little maintenance, then go for a mod.

My very first PV looks exactly like the one you have, and it was terrible.

Cool.. Thanks again for your advice.. Now to go shopping!! I'm going to dispose of the pictured e-cig and start afresh with something a little more long term, as advised. A bit more expensive but twice the pleasure(I hope)!. I've done a lot of forum searching and have come up with a plan, after much reading. Purchase placed. Now the waiting game. I've been informed by my doctor that most people will suffer from cardiology problems from smoking, but I'm in the position of it not being that that kills me but more my lungs giving up first. They really can't take the smoke at all. My Grandfather died from Emphysema and he didn't even smoke, so I'll take his advice. As I would like to be on this earth for more than the next ten years.. lol...
Thanks again for all your input, and happy vaping!!!!
