I've been using a kanger coil and its annoying as heck to work with. I read around here and heard that a 806 atty would be good - but Im finding it a challenge to find any.... and the one site I found it on for a good price i'm not sure if its what I want - 306 2.5ohm Atomizer can you guys tell if its a 510 connector? Its not listed .....
or, could any of you suggest a better way to test out diy flavors?

how would you go about sampling flavors on the vision nano???

Short answer is with difficulty. It's a bottom coil clearomizer and the coils work best when they are inside the tank filled with liquid. I suppose you could just put a few drops of liquid in it and try it, then rinse and try again. Another thing you could do would be remove the coil assembly from the tank and drip directly on to it. It'd be a pain, I'm sure it will make a mess and changing flavors and cleaning will be annoying after a while.

Best advice is above. Read the linked blog too - it'll give you all the info you need.

A simple sealed 510 atomizer like KP Long Barrel Sealed Atomizer - Kidney Puncher are an inexpensive way to test for those that don't want to mess with rebuilding.

If you plan on vaping with a clearo there is an upside to using a Nano or something like it. Dripping will give you very strong flavor, whereas a clearo is going to be a bit muted. Tasting flavors in a clearo will give you a better idea of the end result if you don't plan on using a dripper.

I used to use CE3 XL BCCs for testing juices going into clearos/glassos. They hold about 1ml and come in packs of 5. They are sealed and if filled correctly don't leak. Seriously. I used to just throw them in my purse. The only drawback is that while I've heard you might be able to rinse them out, it's not worth it considering their price and that taking them apart to clean would break the seal, likely guaranteeing they will leak. I would just dedicate one flavor to one clearo. I'd usually get about 3 or 4 refills - I might have gotten more, but I tended to let them sit for a couple of months after that and juice would start seeping out. I would just toss them after that.

CE3 XL Clearomizer (This is where I bought them and is still the best price I know of.)

SteelJan has a very good video review of the CE3 XL (a.k.a. GotVapes Phoenix Bottom Coil): CE3 XL/Phoenix BCC review

Well thanks to everyone for the responses. I think I'm just going to go for a 510 atomizer.... like the one pictured in The Ocelot's blog post. but I have no clue where to pick one up - I need it off a site that also sells some syringes, as I only have enough left on my prepaid card to place one more order, so it'll all have to be from the same place. any ideas?

Which atty on my blog were you looking at? Regular 510? Bridgeless? Bridgeless with a splash plate? I will find one for you.

The 510 with a bridge. They're better then the bridge less ones right?

I think so when you haven't dripped before. The steel mesh bridge holds some juice and you don't have to drip as often. I'll go find you an atty and a syringe.

I saw you post about the Protank mini 3, but I can't figure out what part melted. Was it the O-ring?

ETA: I forgot to ask what you are planning to use the syringe for. There are different ones for different applications.

ETAA: I'll wait until you answer before I post vendors, so I can get everything in one place.

You've got me stumped on the upper base of the Protank 3 mini. I've found replacement parts for the Protank 2 mini, but the 3 is different. I can't figure out what would be plastic. You might want to contact Kanger directly for assistance. KangerTech US Electronic Cigarettes - Kanger Official Website

Regarding the atty and syringes:

This atty will work just fine for tasting: 510 Smok Tech 2.0ohm Atomizer

And you should find the syringes you need on this page: Syringes, Syringe, E-Liquid Syringes | MadVapes

ETA: Another idea about the PTM3. Edward at Sun-Vapers worked with Kanger to develop the original Protank and knows more about the device than anyone else in the US. He would likely be able to steer you in the right direction. He might be a little hard to get ahold of though, he opened a B&M a few months ago and is focused on that. What is the different between the Protank 3 and the Protank II.

Thanks for the site, but they're out of stock on most of the syringes :(
I found DIY E-Liquid, Electronic Cigarettes and Wholesale Nicotine & E-Cig Juice | EcigExpress which has everything in stock and cheeper, but they dont take American Express ;llll
