I've never had a problem with leaking.
I give a good firm 3 second squonk, wait 2 seconds for juice to drain and the wick to soak juice into the coil, and I get 3-4 nice long puffs. Just like dripping, only from the bottom!
No need for sucking, hole covering, listening for a gurgle noise.
One possible thing I can think of that may cause leaking from squonking is either using too much wick, or the coil is too tight around the wick and the "system" isn't working efficiently; either scenario leaves a juicy mess of wick hanging around the deck.
The wick should be loose enough to pull freely back and forth inside the coil, and just long enough to make contact with the deck; not so long as you have to stuff it around anywhere. Use a short, loose wick, leave the juice feed/drain free and clear, and the RM2 will never leak.
The RM2 is so tiny that it doesn't work so well holding extra wick as a juice "reservoir." I realize if you had a whole mess of wick stuffed everywhere on the deck you might get away with only having to squonk every 6-10 puffs, but it'll get leaky on you. Also, what are we talking about here? Are Americans to lazy to squonk now? It's not "good enough" now?

I kid, I kid.
On the lefty/righty thing... I don't get it? I hold the Reo the same way in both hands; button facing my forearm, pressed with my thumb like a detonator. When I squonk, I just hold the Reo like I was answering an iPhone with one hand, and let my opposable thumbs do their thing. No biggie. Some of you guys hold your Reos in very strange ways! I do use a knucklehead drip tip and tend to just flip that one direction or the other depending on what hand I'm vaping with.
