I had a 30 mL bottle of juice in a plastic baggie in an outer pouch of my rolling duffle. Unpacking this morning, got my nano in for my Volt, wanted to fill it with my 6mg juice. I look for it. It isn't there. Unpacked everything, nope, it's missing. Everything was closed up properly before I left. What a bummer. It was a brand new bottle, too!

If the TSA opened your checked bag there would be a tag in there to let you know. Even if nothing is taken, they tell you they opened it.

EVERY time they have opened mine it is on my return trip. YEA! Look at my dirty socks and underwear!
I always leave some special magazines on top, And I usually pack some really..... INTERESTING items when I fly which deters them from looking in my secret compartments.

That didn't happen with me after one of my trips. I had (3) charging cords for my Riva batteries and an extra charger for my Buzz Pro batteries, in addition to my curling iron, iPhone and Kindle charger cords. In other words....all sorts of cords. They were all grouped together in the pouch above the clothing. When I opened my suitcase, all of the cords were strewn about, together with the contents, which had been neatly folded. I received no notice. I can understand where they would want to look at all the cords, but they weren't very tidy about it.

I know that my bag has been searched on occasion (because of the mess they leave behind) and rarely get the notice they are supposed to leave. I have not flown since I started vaping but I think I would carry it on with my insulin and other things that I just cannot afford to lose. That limits the amount I can carry in one bottle but I would much rather have it my possession just in case someone were to find it intriguing during a routine search of my checked luggage.

This is why I *NEVER* check bags.... even on a 3-week business trip to 5 countries in Europe, I did it all with carry-on (well, almost.. Air Malta made me check it because my carry-on was too heavy).

If I had to check, my vaping stuff comes out of the bag and into my laptop bag. No way I'm going to risk losing that stuff!

First trip after starting vaping, my liquids were stolen out of my bag too.
After dealing with the airline pilferage dept, they reimbursed me (good thing I had my receipts with me...while travelling! Just lucky, they were still in my wallet), but it was a real pain in the .... to track down a shoppe to replenish my liquids at my destination.

Those damn bstrds. To some extent I can understand that they could be doing their job and they might have thought this was for example nitroglycerin, LOL, but it's frustrating that they won't notify you about something like that. You just wait until you get your luggage and pray that there's nothing missing.
This is how my sunglasses went missing a few years back.:mad:

if the glycerin alarmed you would have been escorted off the plane and questioned if it was a bag thrower that found it, it would just be gone. some TSA people only have so much time to check a bag and move on so yes they mess up bags, find it, and, keep moving. some locations are checking ten flights at once and your bag isn't the only one in the room... just saying
