Sorry only watched the video now...and WOW. I almost got respect for the man right there (good on her for taking him on in public, I think). First time I see him acting like a statesman. Even showed some respect...and self respect for that matter.

No, sorry, but I don't. Sometimes when we don't like someone, we look at them through a critical eye and see something wrong with them all the time. But we all do something wrong or weird at times. So someone could see me talking on film on a subject and those who don't like me will for sure find a fault to pick at like how my grammar is or my posture etc, those who like me after watching the very same footage could say "well that was nice wasn't it". If one seeks faults with others they will find some at every turn, because we all have faults. Including myself. ​

An old gentleman I once knew told me "unless a person has openly, visibly or proven to have done something terrible or by nature acts terribly all the time, then put the best contruct on situations you can. You see someone you met before and stop to say hi, but they just seem to ignore you and walk on. Perhaps they just got the worst news possible and right now nothing else matters. You hold a door open for a person and they don't say thanks or even acknowledge it, perhaps a loved one has just died and they're numb to everything. A person driving doesn't give way, maybe they just lost their job and dont know how theyre going to pay the house off. Someone acts rude to you, perhaps everything is crumbling down around them and getting a huge bill cleans them out and was the last straw. I try to live by his advice, sometimes I forget to then recall his words after I've retaliated to something and then kick myself. I once watched a short film called Walk in Their Shoes. It was virtually about everything the old guy told me and seeing it played out really drove home his words. As I watched it i thought "ha, that's what Eric told me to do". But I can assure you, I'm far from faultless and have just about worn my legs out from kicking myself over the years.

Very true @Vapedog. That is the answer to the common problem the world faces in this day and age. People seemingly just don't have the time to stop and contemplate their own existence, and/or how to relate to others. We all fail regularly, and its not that easy to get forgiveness and understanding from others anymore. The world has changed in soooo many ways in my lifetime.
On the flip side though...when someone prove themself time and time again to be underhanded, risky mischievous and downright disrespectfull towards others, I have learnt to drive a stake in the ground. There comes a time when its obvious that change for that individual will not be happening. Mostly because they don't even realise what they're doing....! You more or less come to know what to expect, without being judgemental about it.
In our daily lives its rather easy to live past that if its a ordinary person...if we really want to that is.
When it comes to a the President of the USA, its not that easy to ignore, as the consequences of his actions...or inactions can have a direct impact on the world stability and economy (and my life). That worries me. The last time the US economy fell (2007), I was financially hurt. That made me realise then how vulnerable this modern world with its intertwined economies are nowadays.
What this world needs is more responsible leaders.
