Turkish Coffee disappointment

I've been vaping a sample of VV Turkish Coffee. I drink espresso and strong, black filter coffee and I've been on a search for a coffee vape that, y'know, actually tasted of coffee. My search goes on. This was advertised as super-strong 'rocket-fuel' and a number of comments on forums seemed to ratify this. It smells sort of like Amaretto coffee, which would have been nice enough as far as I'm concerned. But it really doesn't taste of anything much to me. Certainly it's 'strong' and 'dry' to the palette but not of coffee! Now I must confess that I'm basing this on how it tastes without more than a few days' steeping, so I don't expect it to be super full and rich at this point, but I would at least expect to be able to taste the rudiments of its potential! Funnily enough, the best coffee vape I have had was Green Smoke's bog-standard coffee flavour, back when I was using prefilled cartos.

Has anyone else, preferably who shares my taste for strong coffee, tried this juice and would they recommend I give it a chance with some more steeping? I don't know whether to order a full bottle a month in advance of my needing it or not.

Hi thm3. I think everyone is either busy with the sale or the long weekend.

I've never tried the Dark Turkish Coffee so I can't help there however, I do love all the other Virgin Vapor coffees. To me, I like them okay when I first get them but then, after a couple of weeks, they turn into something sooo much better and a lot different from where they started out.
Have you tried any of the others? The new Double Espresso is really good.

How long does it take for an order to get to Cardiff?
I hope the flavour works out for you. :)

Yep, BOTH busy with the sale AND trying to squeeze in a little "holiday time" of our own. :)

thm3, I DO think that giving it more time to steep will help a lot, especially if it's a freshly mixed batch. If you will let us know the batch #, Annette will do a check. If another week or two of steeping doesn't bring out the flavor you're expecting please email me at customers@virginvapor.com and we can make some arrangements to your satisfaction.

Hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend!

For what it's worth, I had some Organic Dark Turkish Coffee in a sampler back in November. I vaped half of it, and just dragged it out again yesterday. It definitely gets better with age. Six months, of course, is unusual. But even after a couple of weeks, I liked it. It has a nice coffee flavor with some sweetness atop. I've had trouble finding a good coffee flavor, but this one has it. Not black coffee, but coffee flavor, nonetheless.

Thanks, that's very kind, only my order wasn't from you directly but, rather, from UK E-Cig store. It was actually just a sample I was referring to, which I've now used, but I decided to chance it and order a full bottle in the end. Damn, I didn't know there was an espresso! They don't have as broad a selection and a lot of the ones they do have are out of stock...Ok, I just rang UK E-Cig store to try to cancel my oder, which is listed as 'processing'. They said that it might have been posted but if it hasn't, it'll be cancelled and if not, I can return it. In the meantime, I think I'll just order directly from you henceforth, the cost's much the same. If I get notification that it's been cancelled today then I might just go ahead and order some espresso, if you think it might be closer to what I'm after. I don't really know because the Turkish Coffee descriptions I heard really did seem to fit the bill and I've had 'espresso' flavours that were, at best, latte. I do really want to like your juices, of which this is the first I've tried, because of the whole 'organic' aspect and I've heard such good things.

Agreed, bigoted. It's not something we vapers like to hear, we want instant gratification. :) Sure, many VV flavors are vapable right out of the mailbox, but the rewards of steeping are super yummy. It won't magically make you like a flavor that you just don't care for, as Annette says, but if it is a flavor you like? Be prepared for deliciosity. <<-- yes, it's a word. Well, it's in the Urban Dictionary anyway. :)
