TW Tornado

I just got my Tornado this past thurs; my first e-cig; and maybe its ignorance, but, I've noticed that compared to an analog, it seems hard to drag off of it. I've changed carts, done the Fluval cart mod, tried different atty's, tried different brand e-juice, the list goes on. Am I just not used to it, or is there something I'm missing. The Tornado makes tons of vapor and tastes great but it feels like I'm trying too hard to get a good drag. Any ideas.

There are no airholes to cover with the tornado as there is the cone that covers that. One thing you can do is pull the cart just an 8th of an inch up to leave some room... I had the same issue sometimes... I would also try to take the cart out and blow it in case it is flooded... make sure you have a napkin on the other side...

It may just be normal. I started with a 510 about two months ago and I remember feeling like it was a harder drag then an analog. You get used to it. Give it a week or so, if it bugs you, you might consider getting a different model to compare it to. You can get a 510 starter kit for about $35 bucks, and the attys are interchangable with the Tornado.

Nice. I'm also looking at a SB from Altsmoke. I've read alot of good things about them. Still trying to find an e-juice I like. I've smoked analogs for 26 years, so I'll give it a chance. I Like the Fluval cart mod, but it seems like the cart takes less drips than with the factory filler.
I use the fluval foam in my tornado. It's the same as the blue foam mod. The foam works way better than the standard fluval. I also see your interested in the Sb. If you were a heavy smoker and like a really hard throat hit then that will probably do it for ya. I was a half a pack a day smoker and a while back bought a prodigy V2. It put out great vapor but the throat hit it was giving me was just too much. So if you want that kind of kick you in pants throat hit then the SB will be fine. If you want something a little less then I would go with a 3.7 volt mod like the protege.

At standard voltage, the tornado is about as good as it gets. Good battery life, reliable, simple. A 510 atomizer attached to any charged battery or mod at regular voltage is not going to change much if any. What it is, is what it is. There are adapters out there that allow you to use different atomizers, cartomizers on what you already have. Not really much money to give the different ones a try, You may find one that fits you better.

Which part?

The part that says that the TW Tornado atties are different than other Joye 510 atties with respect to draw and airflow.

To the best of my knowledge, the atties that TW provides with the Tornado are their standard 510 atties.... which are essentially standard Joye 510 atties with the wide band.

Mik @ Janty has mentioned in passing that the Janty atties are different... but I'm pretty sure the TW ones are not.

I got my Tornado last week and have been enjoying it ever since, and it is getting better as I get better. The first thing I found with any e-smoke is the amount of "suction" I use. These all seem to thrive on slow and longer inhale than an analog. It took me a while to get used to a longer inhale, but now that I have it works great. What is great with the Tornado is the battery life, it outlasts the standard atomizer/cart and depending on your vaping, and can easily last all day. Depending on the liquid and whether it is VG or PG, nic or none and its flavor, you will get different results. In fact, the atomizer will make a difference (even the same part number/supplier). Give it a little time and
suck slow"!!!!! Good luck, Allan

I think the ones that TW sells are Titan, which I think are different then the Joye. I find that the attys I got in the TW kit are similiar if not the same as the one I got in the eGo kit.

I'm specifically trying to get more Janty attys because I don't like how difficult it is draw on the eGo/Tornado with the Joye attys with the cone on. I'd get the ones from TW but they're over priced.

I think you're getting yourself all wrapped up....

The "Titan" atty is a Joye 510 atty... but with a wide gold band. It is made by Joye and it is dimensionally and internally the same as all of their other 510 atties.

The Janty atties are also made by Joye. But Mik @ Janty said that they "modify" them a bit. Not sure exactly what that all entails.

The individual atty price from TW is a bit high.. but in the 5-pack it is just about the same as the Janty TAWA.

I honestly notice a difference, are you sure the ones with the gold band are the same as the standard Joye 510 atty? And maybe the attys that come with the Tornado kit are different then the ones they sell individually. The ones in the kit have a devil picture on them, the ones they sell individually have 510Titan written on them. And why would they just add a gold band, just for looks?

I guess I'll email TW and ask.

Old stock vs. new stock. All of the ones that I have received over the last couple of months have the graphic.

The "wide band" vs. "thin band" has been beat to death in a bunch of threads... no need to rehash here.
