twist ties for cleaning bats

having a clean up in my kitchen draws....these 1000 plus twist ties left over from freezer bags.....should I throw them out....then it come to me....firstly if this has been spoke of before.....you can leave now....just jokes.maybe they would be good for cleaning bats..so tooth picks I can never seem to get them thin enough...& even when my kind house mate does them for me.. I seem to break them in the tiny holes...and also around the bat post ive had a few wood bits stuck in there...pins are to sharp..i always rip the tissue...so I peeled back the plastic coating...bend ties in half...moulding with fingers...they work a treat cleaning holes..and when using tissues to get around bat post...seems to get right in there getting all that black yucky stuff out...followed by a few tiny needle point drops of vinger..wipe threads, bat post...nice clean and shinny....id say the twist ties would be only good a couple of times..but when you have 1000s of them....who cares... at least I can put them to use now....

ive just cleaned all me x2s and baby bats...there clean and happy....my first 65 bat amazes me its 5mths old....still vapes...how its still going idk....those first few mths...in was on and off charge non stop...im sure its had more then 300 hits.......I vape it now and then...just to check......even with all my bat stories...with lights and end caps....out 9 babies and 5 x2s there still vaping....

I was using dental floss and toothpicks with tissues for the inner & outer threads... alcohol swabs to clean the post. This idea is much better because I have a bunch of those twist ties just waiting to be used. Vinegar hah... never thought to use that.

cheaper than buyin booze...to clean them....trust me they come up very clean and shinny

Not exactly the same but similar: the other day I needed to clean out a bat and couldn't find a toothpick, so I unbent one of those cheap-o Christmas tree ball hangers and it worked great.

So glad you suggested the twist ties. You can really get into the grooves of each thread inside and outside. I used these AFTER the dental floss and still found some gunk.

yes joann I couldn't believe all the gunk I found after using the twist ties...cause of the bumps on my fingers these ties make it easier for me...to get right in ...with all the juice thats been getting in around the bat posts..i was ....but wow don't my x2s vape better now...after a good clean out and a nice wipe over of vinger.....
