First, I see a lot of new people jumping on here everyday. That's great! And to the newbies like myself, we really appreciate the knowledge and support given my the Vet vapers. As of writing this, I am two days strong. I know I have a long road ahead. Occasionally my mind plays tricks on me and tries hard to convince me to smoke just one. I have held strong for the most part.

Last night on the way home from hanging out with friends, I did light one out of curiosity. I got three puffs in and threw it out the window. Although I am still new to vaping, I know I will succeed. This community has been ever so helpful with knowledge and support.

So to the new people, stay strong and have fun with flavors. Don't hesitate to ask questions or search.

to the Vet vapers, thanks for answering the same questions over and over. And thanks for all the support given to the people that struggle!

knowing we can lead someone down the same path to freedom from the damaging effects of smoking is in itself a reward for helping people get started, but kind words like this make it even better sometimes, good luck and VAPE ON!

and never forget it's tough to let go, it really is. never beat yourself up for having a smoke here and there. while vaping 100% is truely better it does not have to be a mental battle for all or nothing leading us to massive stress and guiilt.

Way to go Slabb!! It makes me so happy to see more and more new people taking up vaping. The sheer number of success stories you will encounter here is truly astounding. For me being able to answer questions and help new vapers is something I love to do and a way for me to give back to the community that helped me so much. Keep going Slabb - it is a long road but I am here to tell you that you can do it!! :)

congratz ... just remember even if you slip it is not that you slipped it is how many you have not smoked ... glad you have found good use of the wealth of knowledge that has accumulated here :vapor:

This is so true!
OH I just noticed you are in STL too! So hello neighbor!! :)

Ha! I noticed this too. I'm out in St. Chuck County.

I haven't gone this long without a cig in years. I've tried e-cigs that look like regulars, chantix, and snus but never had much success. I have little will power when it came to my little "friends". But now I am not battling myself, I am just fighting one urge, and choosing what I feel is a safer alternative.

And for those that read the post a few days ago about the wife, I think she is on board with it now. She keeps talking about how I don't smell like a stale bowling alley.

We've all been down this same road & whatever we can do to help one another stay on it is time well invested....
