The iStick 20 is known to fire a little bit stronger than some other mods because of it's electronics package. That said, I've found my collection of VV/VW mods, each will be just a bit different in output when set to the same wattage or voltage.

I adjust each different style to produce the best flavor and vapor for each different eliquid flavor or topper. I use the numbers displayed as an easy reference to be able to set it the same in the future...:)

The electronics in any of our mods are just not precise enough to use the wattage settings as more than just a starting point to keep you from instantly burning up your coil.

There are two basic ways to regulate the output voltage, RMS and Mean. RMS, used in the SVD2, is much more accurate in relation to real world experience. The IStick 20 uses Mean and can not deliver anything lower than the current battery voltage, despite what watt setting you may have. Since the voltage across the resistance determines the power, the method used to regulate that voltage is significant. The Istick 30 and 50 have corrected that.

While there are charts floating around that get pretty specific, the Mean device will need to be about 2 watts lower to get the same vape, especially at the lower power end, all other things being equal. Or the RMS device about 2 higher. (The two methods of regulation get closer to each other at the higher power settings.)

So your SVD2 isn't less powerful. Your Istick 20, by design, just runs hotter than you'd think based on where it's set.
