These two flavors I feel if I can learn how to make I'll never need to purchase premade eliquid again... Theyre both high VG. First, Fuzion Vapors "Spartan Wives"-Honeydew, watermelon and a splash of "thunder fury" (... is Thunder Fury??). Second would be Pinup Vapors "Lana". 95% VG and its sweet with some notable tartness...anybody got input??

I haven't got a recipe, but TFA Honey Dew is a dead ringer for Spartan Wives - my last attempt was 10%, that'd be a good place to start. I never tasted much Watermelon in Spartan, but it wouldn't hurt to add some. Then you need something to make the flavor 'pop' - I think a few people around here use cream flavors to achieve that. A touch of Koolada wouldn't go astray.. and perhaps a touch of Sweetener - Most of Shane's juices have a really nice sweet taste that hits the back of your throat.

I'm pretty sure Spartan uses TFA Honeydew - if not, it's so close that you won't notice the difference. Not sure about the Watermelon, I didn't think to try it in my mix. Spartan is high VG, which has it's own sweetness. If you're ordering from TFA, you could grab a 4ml vial of their Sweetener - that's Sucralose in PG. Make up a batch of Honeydew, and try adding a drop at a time to see how much you need.

I've used the TFA Honeydew (HD) as a stand alone. I'm curious why you would add a sweetener to the mix? I thought the HD was quite sweet as it stands. How does this change the flavor in your opinion other than just sweetening it obviously?

No matter what I do I just can't seem to get the TFA watermelon to taste like, well, watermelon. It always has a chemical floral taste to it. Nothing even close to shop-made watermelon juice I've tasted in the past.

I'd assume that maybe if I did 10% tfa honeydew and maybe 2.5% tfa watermelon it'd mellow the floral taste out right?? (If it wasnt obvious im pretty new to mixology :p

No matter what I do with the watermelon, for example mixing with multiple flavors, that watermelon chemical floral taste is still there. I've pretty much given up on it. TFA flavors I find are real hit or miss. Like most of the flavor companies of course. I basically only use TFA, FA & VZ SC flavors.

The Honeydew as a standalone is quite good. Was just curious why sedition recommended a sweetener added.
