I don't know if this is the appropriate spot for this, but I just wanted to share some thoughts as Thursday will be my two-month mark as a vaper! (Is it like when you have a baby and you mark time in weeks? Aww, my vaping is 8 weeks old!) (Sorry)
Like most everyone, I've learned a lot via this site, so thank you all!
Also by trial and error, which is to be expected.
Because I feel an intense need to document things for posterity, here are just some random thoughts at this point in my journey.
- I don't miss smoking (like surprisingly, at ALL) but I miss the act of lighting a cigarette. What the hell is up with that.
- I have never consistently watched my mailbox this much with this much anticipation...even during the holidays (vape MAIL, yeah!)
- At some point it hit me I no longer have to keep a Diet Coke and/or water bottle in my car for a makeshift ashtray and it was awesome to vacuum all the stupid ashes and have the car stay clean. I bought an air freshener to celebrate.
- It is a revelation to only have to stop at gas stations to actually just get gas.
- I never in my life thought I could get excited over different shaped batteries, but here we are.
- Sundays with the inlaws. This is the biggie. In the smoking days, it was torture. While they knew we smoked (because obviously), we never did it in front of them & tried to limit the stench beforehand as much as possible, which meant hours of me being a .....y ...... who wanted any excuse to leave. Now? Quick vapey in the bathroom and best daughter-in-law ever!
- And the best bonus I never imagined: a whole community of cool friendly people that two months ago I had no idea even existed.
Thanks for letting me ramble; happy vaperversary to everybody!
