Two new puppy pictures!

Both pics were taken tonight. We really need to take some pics outside. Ellery's eyes are brown and Maisie's are green (can't tell by the pictures). They are getting huge. Ellery weighs 36 pounds and Maisie weighs 35 pounds.

Maisie had just torn up a piece of cardboard and was very proud of herself!

Ellery always smiles (much more than Maisie), but every time we took a picture of him tonight, he stopped smiling.

Awwwww how cute! Maisie sure looks proud of herself, bet that cardboard gave her a hard time and she went at it, lol. Ellery is just giving you his serious side when it's picture time. Catch him off guard next time when he isn't looking.

Thanks everyone! Both are very sweet dogs. Maisie is still a bit stubborn, but she's getting better. Ellery is very affectionate and loves to kiss.

They are doing well with training, especially "sit"! If Maisie starts to chew something she shouldn't and we catch her, she automatically sits down now! We bought them a flirt pole (link to video below). 10 minutes of playing is equal to a one hour walk. Until their bones develop more, we're only doing it for five minutes twice a day.

Div - I'd never heard of it either. I read about it on one of the dog forums I subscribe to. From what I read, all dogs that need exercise love the flirt pole. Maisie and Ellery love it! Although they would keep going with it, we're limiting their time to five minutes. I'm worried about them hurting their legs.

By the way, I ordered a bunch of new toys; the package arrived today. They love the stuffed animals! Ellery and Maisie usually sleep most of the afternoon, but not today! They played with their stuffed animals most of the afternoon, and finally fell asleep late today (4:30 or so) and used the stuffed animals as pillows.
