1. I was vaping in my office. My workplace has explicitly banned e-cigs a few months back. Plumes of vapor in my office. Boss walks by. I apologize and fumble around with my e-cig. He says he doesn't care. He said he didnt know I used to smoke but good that I quit. Conversation over.
2. I was at a bar and I chose to sit on the outside area so I could vape. (Even though it is illegal to smoke in this outside area, people still do occasionally. vaping is not banned and I've never had a problem.) Someone at the table I sat at asked me to "stop smoking" because they were a cancer survivor (they were like 20-something). I really was kind of speechless but eventually said .. Well, it's not a cigarette, and I'm not smoking. But they were sitting there first so I put my e-cig away and tried not to make it awkward.
