I didn't realize but on the 24th of this month I hit my two year mark of being a member here. Plus well over a year of solid vaping without analogs.

I figured I would reintroduce myself to the community.
  • My name is Mike
  • I'm 32 years old (for two more months anyway).
  • I have a 7 year old son.
  • I've smoked since I was 16. Except I don't anymore :)
  • I directed my first feature film at age 24, premiered it at a local theater and solid a limited edition number of DVD's.
  • For the last five years I've been a professional director of photography for a local media company in the Detroit area. I shoot corporate videos and TV commercials.
  • For years I ran a messageboard just like this but for indie filmmaking.
  • After 14 years of my life (age 12-26) pursuing filmmaking... I lost my passion for it. It's buried in here somewhere.
  • Early last year (2010) I started a social media company with my partner Dante. We are building a different kind of social network (link in my sig) and it's consumed nearly the last two years of my life as well as several years before thinking about it. Still a long way to go.
  • I've been making my own own e-liquid for the last year and I'm in the processes of setting up shop to sell it after the first of the new year.
  • I love science-fiction movies, electronic and classical music.
  • I vape a silver bullet and an assortment of rivas and eGo's. 3.7 and 6 volts. Love a 306 atty, boge 2.0's and dual coil cartos. Not a fan of 510 atty's, they're way too weak.
  • My favorite juices are my own and those are mostly fruit flavors.
  • I vape 18mg always.
  • I'm a dedicated Vaporcast listener.
  • I'm skeptical about a lot of things but overwhelming optimistic.
  • I love a good philosophical debate.
  • I lost my father four years ago to a heart attack my mom suffered a massive stroke earlier this year. This has lead me to live with more purpose but also not take life so seriously.
  • I've very laid back but people also call me a go-getter. (trying to figure that one out)
  • I'm totally a gadget geak.
  • I live to create.
  • What I hate most in this world is injustice toward children.
  • I'm incredibliy open about myself on the internet. Search roxics on google and you can see the entirety of my online life for the last 14 years.
I don't have a lot of posts here because I have so much going on. But I try to stop in as much as I can. Vapers are some of the nicest people I've ever met and I'm thrilled to be part of this community for two years now and going.

Nice to meetcha. I was smoke free a year in October! I love vaping and also make my own juice. I've tried a couple 306's but found the flavor and vapor too thin. I've heard so many great things about them but for some reason I can't make them work at any voltage or resistance or with any juice. ???

Roxic, Good to see you checking back in and even better to read that you are still living life to its fullest. I do hope your mom is doing well and that you make sure to take care of yourself while going through this with her.
Congratulations on 1 year+ of being a non-smoker! Have you tried ikenvapes i06's-they are fantastic.

Congrats Mike. We are the nicest people you will ever meet. Love that you are off the tobacco for good. Thanksgiving day was my one year with no tobacco. I am so proud of myself, and know you must be proud also. Kudos to us both!

Definitely! Feels good doesn't it? :D

Are you a carto vaper typically? 306's are the best atty's I've tried so far, I rank them above Boge 2.0 cartos for vapor and pleasure. The best 306 combination for me is a LR306 at 3.7v. 2.5ohm 306's at higher or lower volts just doesn't do it for me. But there are still other atty's I'm looking to try.

Yeah she slowly get's better and I'm lucky to still have her around. No I haven't tried those i06's. I think the next atty on my list is a 901 threaded HH357. But that's after I get a dual coil carto tank. ;)

Thanks. Same to you. :)

Quite a story there, nice read. Congrats on quitting and keep it up.

Thanks. I certainly intend to keep it up. Vaping has changed my life for the better.
