Yeah. the polling place was in a school gym and it was chaos - very poorly
organized, no useful signs anywhere, and volunteers (though I praise them for
giving their time) were not very well trained.
The media in the UK is at near fever pitch over the US elections, also many of my colleagues that are in the US tonight are having election parties 
I'd say that nearly all of them want Obama to win, if not all of them, he is very popular here.

We had early voting for about the past week or so where I live. I voted the first day -- and the long line was doing Obama chants! It was like waiting for concert tickets. Loved it. Got my "I Voted Early" sticker.
I have been so anxious over the outcome that I haven't been able to sleep much or do any productive work. Jimmy Buffett held a free concert in Tampa yesterday with the apt title, "Last Chance for Change." Got that right, Jimmy.

yeah it sounds better than first mixed man or half and half....tomato...tamato....blah blah....
I don't know why the keep using the phrase African-American. I think black is simple and to the point.
But then again I don't know how I'd feel if someone referred to me as the yellow person over there. *scratches head*

In England everyone goes out and votes on just one day.The trouble is that, because it's just on one day and it's raining..."everyone" stays at home. We need electoral reform...can someone invent that alongside a practical e-cig battery? What about the Australians who fine those that don't vote? Sharp idea.Proportional representation? Probably not...let's just start with every vote counting...

Went and voted at 8:00AM this morning....only slept for a couple of hours before waking up to go vote. Came home and went back to sleep (this is why I enjoy having a union job. get election day off).
Did I mention the polling place was packed? It only took me like 15 minutes to vote, but still a massive crowd.
