Anyone else come across this stuff?
Im not a wire builder by any means. Im always striveing to find good "by the spool" alternatives. This stuff here is interesting.
I put it in my merlin rdta and my peerless rda and have been pretty impressed with the result.
Heat retention is lower than my other clapton wires. Resistance isnt as low as i had hoped but still works well.
7 wraps on a 3.5mm post comes out to .371ohms and 6 wraps on a 3mm comes to .250 ohms.
Both hit GREAT under 100w.
They call it clapton but the wraps are staggered/spaced. Its more just holding the core wires together.
Good stuff guys. Its 2x28g kanthal and a ribbon wire stagger wrapped in 32g. Little to no controlled shorts and were easy as pie to get glowing inside out. No slippage or loose leads and were easy to get secured in posts.
Clouds are great flavour is off the charts too. I can actually taste my ADV and ive been getting pretty numb to it.
