I know it was asked before and there was tons of information about the philosophy of it, but I can't find the thread for the life of me, and believe me I have tried...

My questions basically boils down to the use of 510 atties in the UFS V2. I usually use a Joye 1.5ohm Stainless steel atty, and they work perfect for me.

Unfortunately, the only supplier in Canada that offers them at a price less than pure robbery is out of the Stainless versions and only have the black ones in stock. They tell me that Joye is behind on their production and it may be a month until they get new ones.

Can the black ones be used in the UFS safely? I know some people said certain juice makes them chip or dissolve, and I don't want to clog it up or vape paint. Do people use coated atties in their UFS?

Also, is there a way to easily remove the coating? I'm not living at home right now, so I don't have any tools handy.

As always, thanks for the information :D

I find the coatings come off with a fingernail after I boil my attys or send them through the ultrasonic cleaner a couple of times

Good to know. I don't clean my atties at all, not sure if I should start. I just buy new ones when they start to get clogged up or taste funny.

But you do use the coated ones in a UFS?

I clean mine in an ultrasonic bath in alcohol and no paint issues with the ones I linked...I even do 3 cycles and let them soak a couple hrs more;then I blow them off and let them dry on a napkin.

I rotate 3,all look like new and perform as well.

They are used for dripping...awesome in that mode too.
