I just finished watching Megs video (thanks Meg!)on the UFS tonight so I decided to give mine a go once more. Usually I'm a 3ohm dual carto guy on 8v for simplicity and ease of swapping flavors. My first attempt with an AVS, then later a UFS v2 were less than stellar. I guess that came from over confidence and not following instructions. I would get flooding, gurgling and poor vapor. This time, i cleaned everything once more, relubed with petroleum jelly and some of Para's secret oring sauce and journeyed out once more on the UFS trip. The results were amazing. Once i learned to dial in the subtleties of the UFS in combination with the right amount of air and juice and the thing is just amazing.

I write this for the benefit of those that are not enjoying theirs. Some of the points that made a huge significance to me were

1) the unit must be spotless and dry
2) the threads must be well lubed in order to get a smooth spin
3) the orings must be well lubed so things don't stick
4) i find thicker juice works better on mine so i leave the pg stuff for my cartos. I just vape nice VG on my UFS. Bobas cut with a little Halo work great. COV tobacco carmel works great as well. Real nice hit, strong continuous vapor.
5) you must be careful with the juice control. Its not intuitive, open is clockwise, closed is counterclockwise. This is what threw me off until i realized the relationship of the atty to the seal in the juice resevoir. Meg does a great job of pointing this out very clearly in her video
6) I've pretty much found my juices after 7 months of experimentation. What I do is run VG exclusively in The UFS. For flavors, i pretty much drip at night. The UFS is best when filled and then vaped empty. This is not for people that want quick changes. This is an everyday device that once learned, is not comparable to any other thing out there

My closing comment is just thanks to Imeo for dreaming and producing this thing and also to Meg for taking the mystery out of it. Meg, I love you whoever you are! Your accent is from Jersey and I love it

Agreed I am on my 3rd tank today this thing is like crack as long as I put in a new carto every day and a half. Already went from 18 mg to 12 and thinking about dropping to 8 soon
I'm a carto guy myself but I'm discovering flavors on atty's i never tasted before. Cartos are good for quick nicotine during the day, but at night, after dinner, i like a nice sweet juice in a hr atty

One last tip which Meg points out very clearly.

When screwing on the top collar (the part the drip tip goes through), screw it down to push the oring in place but then back off the collar. I was leaving it tight, and what was happening to me is that the oring was tifhtening down on the atty. when i tried to open or close the juice feed, i was unscrewing the atty and the juice was then dumping into the collector.

These are all obvious points for the experienced UFS vaper and I apologize for the simple posts but i had not seen this mentioned anywhere else and was the root of my leakage problem.
Once more, hats off to Meg

Nah man, the "simple" posts you refer to are some of the best! Sure it is interesting to get into the dynamics of machining, watts versus amps and so on but!!!

I think sometimes those of us thet realize that the GG devices are advanced user devices tend to not post the basics that we find critical to our enjoyment of the GG series. I am willing to bet good money that there are UFS buyers from the last wave that are still searching for answers.

The fact that otherwise experienced users are willing to share what led them to a level of satisfaction with the device is worth more than we know. I'll be the first to say that while I had great luck the first time I used my UFS that it was just that, luck.

I had to go back and really begin my learning from the beginning after that initial luck. With the UFS in particular that depends so much on proper lubrication and a literal working knowledge of the priciples of suction it is not a plug and play item.

There is a fine point between working like a champ and being flooded or getting dry hits. Although I couch my failures with humor, I do feel it is vital we let the new GG users know that as miserable as an initial efort on using an item may be, the answers are here - You just have to look or ask for them. ;)

Anytome brother Torque! And I was not being "cute" in the least. Whether the instructional video section is a "hit" or not is irrelevent to me. I simply want us to have the best of the best when it comes to "how to" videos so I stay on the hunt for new ones others have found useful.

Anyhthing that can help all of us through the learning curves I mentioned in the above post, I want to be sure we have it here for our GG folks! :)
