Yes, it happened to me once. USPS sent my package to a post office whose zip code was one digit different than mine. Luckily it was the very last digit...so it wasn't very far away...it arrived the very next day.

Since they know it was misrouted, they know where it is (mine they had no clue where it was cause the number stopped showing up in their system & even then while it took them 5 days to lose it, it only took 2 more for it to get to me) We're in the same State, so today would be one and you should get it by tomorrow. It's the not knowing that makes it seem longer.

If you're not too far from me, I could possibly get a couple cartos to you if you're really desperate. - Let me know?

It happened to me once (that I know of) and got to me 1 day later then it should have. For some reason it got sent via San Diego.

I had 2 shipments get here yesterday - one of them left Chicago 3 days earlier than the other. I can only surmise that the USPS sent the first package via stagecoach or Pony Express.

It's ideal for certain things, though. Sending cards to "beloved" in-laws, for example. Or checks to the IRS - although somehow those always seem to arrive and get cashed the same day they were sent... Things that make you go "hmmm"...

I think USPS is soooo much better than UPS. I always have panic attacks when dealing with UPS. The horror stories are awful.

I hate USPS and DHL, but I think everyone's opinion is just that. There are horror stories for all the shipping companies out there, and you have to remember that UPS is one of the older large package companies also, so they will have more people/companies that they have dealt with. FedEx right now is my favorite, but I used UPS just yesterday, and I have a true tracking number with them that will show me where it is. USPS does not have this, it isn't a tracking number, just a delivery confirmation number that doesn't need to be scanned until it is out for delivery.

Well I hope you agree with me that there really aren't many options for consumers in terms of shipping at least. I mean if you think about it, there are only a handfull of commercial shipping companies out there for us to use.
