I was in the same boat about six months ago, and I decided to get a Sigelei ZMAX and a couple of PT2s "for home" and an Innokin iTaste VV/VW V3.0 with a couple of Kanger Mini Unitanks for "away". I don't like to take big rigs out in public because I am a small woman and I will drop the rig, and break the glass tank...and then I would cry! :) The iTaste is smaller and still lets me have the VV/VW capability, and at around $40, I won't cry if I break it. Also, the mini Unitank looks good with the iTaste and has a plastic tank so I don't worry about shattered glass. I really like that the iTaste is squared instead of round so I can set it down and it doesn't roll off onto the floor. Good luck with your new APV, and Happy vaping!

In regards to the smoktech SID, I just wanted to say that I've had one for about a year now and I've never had any problems with it. Once you get used to that single button interface it's actually not bad, but I will agree it looks and feels cheaply made especially compared to the eVic. It's just not as aesthetically pleasing.

you should try a sigelei zmax telescopic flat-top (either v3 or v5)..... why???

here's why:
it's telescopic/it's small (under 4in in 18350)/pretty accurate/vv and vw/well built/VERY cool looking/ and it almost dethroned the provari as p.busardos favorite device.

***keep in mind he said this about the v1 when it was more expensive, and he likes the v3 flat-top even more***

it is better than the VAMO because:
it's telescopic, it's better build quality, it's a little smaller, AND it looks better.

it's better than the MVP because:
it goes up to 6v, and you can take the batteries out....means you only have to buy new batteries when they go bad, not a whole new device. IF you charge the mvp everyday, it will only last you about a year.
i also don't like the mvp because if you are on your way out of the house, THEN you notice your battery is low. well, you better have a backup device, because you can't use the mvp now. it's nice to be able to just throw in a new battery.
AND if you get a V5 zmax, you can charge your phone just like with the mvp.

it's better than the svd because:
it's smaller and looks better.....other than that, they preform about the same.

it's better than the evic because:
it goes over 5 volts, and it's more accurate.

it's also under $100 like you asked..... only $40-60 bucks depending on where you go .

I actually considered it when I bought my SVD, but I decided against it but now I can't remember why. It might have had something to do with the menu. Too late, now, though, as I've already ordered the MVP. But, I'm not too worried about the downsides of the MVP because they don't really apply to me and my situation. I always have some form of backup when I go out, I've never vaped over 5V, I charge my 2000mAh batteries about every 3 days because I have two of them plus two 800mAh (but I do agree that realizing your battery is low after you've left is a pain, which is why I always make a point to keep something else on me when I leave), I actually like the size of the SVD (but I think I may be in the minority there lol) and the look of it more than the Z-Max (all personal opinion stuff).

But, it is still on my list of devices that I kind of keep track of and I might end up getting one at some point. One reason I decided against it this time around is because I wanted a box more than another tube PV. If my husband decides on a tube PV, I might talk him into getting the Z-Max and then we can trade off to see which devices we like best :p Thanks for the input, though, I hadn't heard much about the Z-Max recently (and I didn't even know there was more than one version).

I went back and forth about the iTaste VV for a long time before deciding against it. I think the only thing that really made me decide against it was the battery life. I'm still thinking about getting one at some point, though, just to have something ego sized that's still VV/VW for emergencies and as another backup.

I just recently got the Smok Magneto, which I like....and waiting for the Natural (should have arrived yesterday, but didn't).
I've got a K100 (with airflow issues) and a very cheap Sentinel clone (which I don't use) afraid to strip the threads
Hoping the Natural is as good as the Magneto (it's telescoping, and can use the Kick)
