any one tried one of the ultra sonic cleaners to clen their atties. I'm a wood carver and use them to clean carving grinder stones and carbide cutters, they take off burned on wood sap and work well?????
Yes, I do. However, I must say, I never notice much difference after I clean. Apparently my PG juice with a few menthol drops added doesn't gum up atty's.
By the way, there was a thread on this subject about 1 week ago. You might search for it. Basically it said that ultrasonic works.
I use an Ultrasonic Cleaner on my atty's about once a week and they keep me happy all week long. Watch the paint though, too high a setting or leaving it in there for too long will result in a shiny new Stainless Steal atty I have not experienced this myself however I have heard of others who have.
LOL @ Sandfury Yes they are, I have four SS Atty's myself and a ton of colored ones. I think I need a couple SS batteries myself as I do not have any at this time.

I think that is one of the biggies. My wife uses PG menthol flavored juice, and she is still on her first two ego-t atties after a good 2-1/2 months and very rare cleanings. I use very clear liquids, but they are normally around 70/30 and no menthol and I am on atty #4 after the same amount of time.
