Umm, hi?

Ok, thanks guys! I was reading the forum rules and now I'm confused because there's either a typo, or something in the rules is miscategorized.

I will quote directly

"Discussion or mention of illegal/illicit drugs or sexual content is allowed, in any form."

I will clarify by stating that I live in a state where medical ........ is legal, and I am a med can user in compliance with all state and local laws and regs.

The DIY section here has information very similar to what I am researching, whereby you can extract nicotine from tobacco and use the essential oil to create your own smoke juice.

I wish to ask questions pertaining to the "recipes" and additives used, i.e. PG, VG, etc. I already know everything I need to for making my "essential oil" from ........, I just need to know if the very thick substance that process yields can be refined or "thinned" for use in an e-cig.

If mentioning ........ is prohibited here despite the legal nature of medical use, I'm sure I can get by with euphamisms so that I'm not mentioning the real name.

I also just plain wish to avoid looking like some dumb stoner kid who thinks he can smoke ........ with an e-cig to fool the parents. And avoid offending members here in general.

HerbalT, I can tell you that from my understanding it will not work. The active chemical, THC, is somewhere around 90% fat soluable. This means that extracting the main ingrident is easiest disolved into well, fats. Things like butter and oil you can mix into foods like brownies, cookies and ice cream.

Although I believe the ingrident can be extracted into high grain alcohol, I have not tried this myself (and have no reason to). I could explain further but I am going to leave you with this: it probably can be done, although it is difficult. The end result will be a very, very low concentration of the ingrident. First of all it would be very inefficent to consume and secondly; your atomizer cannot heat it to a high enough temperature. Also, it will (probably) ruin your atomizer.

There are other devices other than an electronic cigarette that you can use to vaporize your favorite things, whatever they may be.

Currently the legality of electronic cigarettes is up in the air. The community could definetly benefit from straying away from negative press associated with ..........

I hope that helps, and I hope you understand where I am coming from :)
