I purchased items from madvapes on 2/2/12 and then I happened to see the other negative reviews about the fraudulent credit card charges after madvapes purchases.
I started to get really worried about it so I closely monitored my card and didn't use it for anything else after my purchase from Madvapes.
And then on 2/5/12 my card numbers were used in Beijing China
(Which was also the day that payment went through at Madvapes. Since I used my debit/credit card through my Credit Union all credit purchases have a 3 day hold before payment goes through)
I was lucky for the 3 day hold though because it made it impossible for me to lose money to the charge in China. My Credit Union froze my card as soon as it happened since they know it was impossible for me to have made it.
So I consider myself very lucky that the only issues I've had to deal with are the stress of straightening out my bank account and getting a new card.
And I never had a problem with Madvapes before this.. I had made numerous purchases without an issue. But they have lost a customer now.
This has happened to a few other people (I think 4? other people at the moment) after MV purchases and instead of trying to look into the problem with their CC processor Madvapes simply states that the few of us that were scammed after purchasing from them have nothing to do with their company.
Please be careful with your cards everyone.
