I just got this tank today. I've never used a dual coil tank before this one. I thought being dual coil, it would be great for my Space Jam Eclipse, a thicker juice... but it seems underpowered compared to my smok aro, which only uses a single coil. It just doesn't seem to produce a lot of vapor, and the taste isn't really that strong. I tried changing the coil in it too, and it seemed the same. Is it just me? Did I maybe just get used to thinner juices, and thicker juices like the space jam just vape differently?

Tanks will behave differently. It isn't just the coil, but the airflow, juice hole, chimney, even the drip tip, will all influence function. Then there are the effects of differences in coil builds in the same tank. How they're wicked, the materials and amount, and the juice holes on the atomizer.

Have you tried playing with the adjustable airflow, and varying your wattage to change the vape?

If you have the new stock kanger coils they don't perform real well for flavor. can you see any wick or is it concealed behind the metal band with a couple of holes on each side?

If you can't actually see any wick the're the new ones. The only way I've been able to get any flavor from the protanks is by rebuilding the atomizer as single coil in the old style atomizer base.

I recently changed something which made me think about this thread again (I know, it's old). I bought a Kbox 40 because it was on sale, and I already had batteries and a charger so I went for it (and a nautilus mini for my thicker jucies like space jam eclipse). I've been using my existing tanks with an ego adapter, and I began to wonder if my new Kbox could drive the previously dissapointing Protank any better. I don't know if it's because of my new ability to just throw wattage at it, but it does seem a lot better, even at the lowest setting of 8w. 13w also works well, but the next step up (20w) seems a little much.

At least I can use the Protank again instead of writing it off as a wasted investment. I'm not sure what I'll do with my Smok Aros, but I got plenty of coils now that I won't be using that my fiancee can use in her tank. And, I got a nice tank to handle my Space Jam better than those aros could.
