My mom used to drink 10+ cups of coffee a day too, she eventually cut back since the doctor told her it's not good for her blood pressure.

Just so you'd know, black tea has quite a lot of confine in it too.

Oh I know, which is why I had to take it down to 2 cups a day as part of my effort to fight the edema problem; it was just making me pee too much! :p But it has a lot less than brewed coffee.

As for the topic: I know that glass-screen picture-tube TVs are no longer the norm, but we still have 3 of them -- and it's GREAT to only have to deal with regular dust instead of all that BLACK stuff I used to have to wipe off. However I got that benefit when I simply took the smoking outdoors; what's nice is that it doesn't seem that vaping contributes to that hazy-screen effect as cigarette smoke did.

I won't know for sure, re: the stickiness factor of dust, until we detail the inside of our truck, which we're going to be doing soon since we're thinking of trading it in. But it doesn't *seem* that vaping makes the dust any stickier than it normally is, unlike tobacco smoke residue.

I would have to say not always searching for a lighter since everyone always steals them. Then not finding one and being ten minutes away from the gas station while driving home from work. Then oh no traffic stops and isnt moving. You then start to look around at the cars around you to see if any one is smoking to see if you can get a light. GRRR the desperate things that I used to do when I smoked. The worse was a half .... in the ash tray in the car i would save those nasty things and then in between pays and low on smokes i would smokes those. Not my proudest moment but hey we all have been there. Now i can vape whenever i want even at work as long as im in the hall way and not in the office area persay they dont care.

Vaping is the best thing that I ever did for myself.

Exactly. I find espresso far too bitter, I even find Folgers too bitter -- I prefer a smoother taste, and it's pretty hard to find, which is just one of the reasons a) I like a lot of milk in it, and b) I eventually gave up on coffee. Also the fact that I was drinking 10 cups a day of the stuff at one point -- WHAT?! (twitch) ME?! (jump) NERVOUS?!? Which is why I disagree about tea containing more caffeine -- 10 cups a day of tea never did that to me.

Andria

I just double checked here. They claim that black tea can contain from 14 to 70mg of caffeine, while brewed coffee can go from 95 to 200 mg. The funny part is they say espresso contains 47-75mg. They definitely didn't go to an Italian cafe. Espresso is the only thing that can wake me up and not make me fall completely asleep 10 minutes later. I still try to stand clear of it, though.

I must have gotten the idea that tea contains more caffeine tham coffee from some stupid powerpoint e-mail.

ON TOPIC:

I can change flavors any time and not miss the other once because that tank is also sitting in front of me.

Absolutely! That's the best answer to all these who keep asking 'why do you people have so many mods?' It's so we can have a bunch of flavors all ready to vape at any given time! I mean, DUH! :D

Another one: Being super excited for the mail

It is talked about alot but my situation is different. I have to wait on the mail everyday because my neighbors like to steal our mail. They are druggies and the man stole my last birthday card ever from my Nanny (she died a month from my birthday the next year)! I saved every birthday card she gave me but I didn't get that one. Also my fiance's Dad didn't get his birthday card that year either... he gets 100$ from his daughter every year and the neighbors know it (they are his deceased wife's daughter and son-in-law)! I only get excited when I am getting vapemail.

    Is it Friday yet?

We've had a lot of pilferage here, so I'm always *very* anxious about our mail, since most of our mail carriers won't shut the box properly so it falls open. My husband and I both get our prescriptions by mail, plus all my vapemail, and my husband's coin collecting mail; I'd really hate for some thieving so-and-so to get any of that!

Oh goodie, I'll have some vapemail tomorrow -- Blueberry Pancakes WTA!

Ooooooo! That burns me the frack up! My carrier does that too. Funny, I never saw that crap when I was a kid, now, it happens all the time all over the place.

When I smoked, I was also horribly addicted to salt and sugar. Every night after dinner, across the street to 7-11 for candy, cookies, ice cream, or salty potato chips.

Now, every night after dinner, vanilla cake, caramel, gummy bears, custard, or almond ice cream in calorie-less vape form. Cigs could never satisfy those cravings like vaping does.

On my final smoking day of June 11, 2014, I weighed 101 kilos. As of today, I'm down to a respectable 88 kilos. Cutting out the junk food and changing decades-old eating habits (ie: not eating such huge portions at mealtimes) is all it took to drop 12 kilos. That I had to invest in 5 new pairs of Levis (size 36...it's been 20 years!) is, I believe, in the long run offset by vastly improved physical/mental health and $ not spent on junk food, which for me was a daily expense comparable to smoking cigs.

    Viva Vaping!

Our "regular" carrier is great; he always shuts it fully, says hello anytime he sees me; seems like a real sharp guy. The other 2 or 3 that sometimes fill in leave a great deal to be desired. I can only surmise that the postal exam doesn't examine for things like laziness or stupidity.

Another thing occurred to me, which may be a side-effect of simply not smoking anymore, so my asthma is somewhat improved -- I seem to sleep more soundly. I wake up fairly often in the exact same position in which I went to sleep. I woke up early this morning, strangely, but I think that was a side-effect of anticipation... that vapemail I mentioned! It's out for delivery!

But I think after it gets here, I may take a nap. Not used to waking at 8am. :D

    Andria

EDIT: well the vapemail arrived... but strangely enough, it wasn't the '2 day priority' WTA (which I ordered Tuesday, so it damn well should have been here today)... it was the regular 1st class mail cartos from IBTanked. :?:

How is it that $3 1st class mail from California gets here BEFORE the $6 '2 day priority' mail from Arizona?

More traffic in an out of California I guess. I can get stuff from Florida or London (England) faster than from western Canada by almost a week and that's regular air mail!

Sleeping better is a good one, although I wake up much much more often to pee (or drink) if I forgot to drink lots of water throughout the evening and have to have a glass of water before bedtime.

Yeah, I was just sitting here wondering if we even had cig machines at all anymore. Seems the ANTZ have made them all disappear. But considering they always cost about 50% more than a store's price, maybe all the cig taxes just priced them right out of existence. Cheapest price at a store around here is about $5.70 (Walgreens), so a machine would have to be at least $8.55 just to warrant the hassle of keeping the machine in operation.

I guess bars might still have them; it's been 22 yrs since I've been in one of those, so I really have no idea.

    Andria

I think the last working one I saw was at a Holiday Inn I stayed at... I was 7, at the oldest.

you guys get great prices accross the border. A cheap pack at the cheapest place I could legally find here costs from 6.40$ (for unsmokables) to 8-9$ (for not-so-well renown brands).

Wow, that's expensive... the brand I used to smoke is still hovering just under $5.

Another: Being instantly ready to go. I don't have to wait to finish a cigarette, or look for a place to put it out, ... Just stow and go!

^That's one of my favorites. I made a thread on the most unexpected side effect/ benefit I ended up with: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...93-started-vaping-quit-smoking-sex-drive.html
