Actually...
We had a thread with people raving about a juice.

Then some guy who was an un-registered vendor started saying this juice had an ingredient in it because some buddy of his had tested it and that it is dangerous.

Then we had some other guy who claimed to be a B&M owner, who also claims to know the juice maker, who claims he called the juice maker and that the juice maker admitted to using this ingredient and that he was planning on dropping said ingredient.

This thread is 99% hearsay. We don't know the "B&M owner" is who he says he is, nor do we know if the first guy (whistleblower/unregistered vendor/competitor) who said the juice was unsafe made the whole thing up after hearing that the juice was being reformulated, as that was announced before this even came up.

I've never bought or vaped this juice, but then again I don't use juices that have crazy colorings added to them to make them more marketable.

No juice vendor has ever reformulated their juice due to coil buildup. Yet the formula was changed and the existing bottles pulled from all vendors shelves just as his ingredients were being questioned. Also the creator has done nothing to cease the tidal wave of comments about his product.

Your comments and intellect are quite... underwhelming.

You've just posted the most level-headed, non-dismissive, concise statement I think I've ever seen anyone of your position post. I haven't looked up your sex or orientation. Wanna get married?

My wife would probably object. But, if you had enough money, and could cook, we could talk. :D
Thanks for the comment.

You do have a point.

And yet.... you keep posting...

Actually I didn't. This is the first one since I wrote that. I just don't like people shoving opinions down others throats and then insulting them if they have a difference of opinion. You don't like my posts? Then I beg and plead you to not read them. Because I honestly don't care what your opinion is about me, or anything else for that matter.

Let me see if I understand what has happened in this thread. A vendor comes on here and posts that a competitor is using a dangerous chemical in their juice with no proof. Since no business in the history of ever has made up false accusations against a competitor, people on here freak out.

This has led me to one of the following conclusions, listed in no particular order:

1. The juice contains a dangerous chemical and the vendor didn't know, which is bad, or didn't care, which is worse, and is now changing the mix to remove it, which is good.

2. The juice mix was going to be changed to stop clogging coils and a competitor found out and decided to spread lies about why the change was occurring.

Now as of right now no one here knows what the truth is, since it's all speculation. Just remember serious allegations require substantial proof, not just hearsay.

Bottom line for me is that this could be an issue if you own and vape this juice as I do. Knowing that the vendor I bought it from just told me via phone call that they are aware of This and that the creator has admitted this to them, they are pulling it and they will refund or swap me.

We are all about THR. Putting anything in a juice that should not be there and that CAN be harmful is going against what is Vapers are trying to do.

I would like this a hundred times if I could.

You do have a point.

Since the two "whistleblowers" were banned by an ECF mod for the reason of being unregistered forum suppliers doesn't that then verify that they are who they claim to be? Or is it an ECF practice to ban any person who claims to be a vendor (providing they are unregistered and not following the forum rules)? Legitimate question here, not trying to cause any trouble but that would then further the fact that they were telling the truth.

You're missing two key points:

1. All of the existing product was pulled from the shelves.

2. People that had made online orders had their orders canceled by the vendor selling it.

So was the juice pulled and orders cancelled because it had a dangerous chemical or because the accusation was made and it was easier to not sell it than deal with the backlash because of it?

As the e juice scene becomes more competitive, and it will because there are 0 barriers to entry, mixers will try to make their product more attractive. In this case, the mixer added an ingredient to make it more marketable. This cuttwood mixer is obviously not a scientist, chemist, or even an average joe who cares about the community. He did not do his due diligence in making this product. He is just another fool trying to make money though whatever means necessary. Sadly, this type of thing has happened before and will likely happen again.

That's why we have to make it clear that we as customers will NOT accept this type of shady behavior. This particular case wasn't too serious, but what if a more dangerous chemical or even drug is one day added to a juice in this manner? This type of gross negligence is the ejuice industry's worst nightmare. Look at the methods ...... dealers use to stomp out their competitors in their unregulated, illegal industry. They sometimes add an extra, stronger drug to the ......, which makes it more sell-able, but also increases its lethal potential. That is pretty much how the actor Phillip Seymour Hoffman died. He likely didn't know about that chemical, only that the product was "better" than others. Now, we never want a bad batch of juice leading to someones injury or death, but if this type of behavior continues in the industry, that cannot be ruled out.

What's easier: Pulling all of your product and re-formulating it, or making a statement about it that confirms it's safe?

A business that was doing the right thing would be much better off showing so

pulling it is admission but might also shows they are interested in doing the right thing going forward

You are serious? This is really a stretch, I can't see any maker shutting down a very popular product because of an untrue rumor. He isn't even removing the product, he is reformulating it without the whitener. This is pretty obvious.

They are going to deal with the backlash either way.
