I'd think a standard protank with a lanyard would be a good fishing set up.

The lanyard works great but I broke a few and I drop my tanks in the water a few times. Out here where I live we catch 40 lbs king salmon and sometimes my lanyards gets in tbe way along with my battery and tank.

Hi. If you want a rig for fishing, I'd suggest something that is inexpensive that you wouldn't cry losing. I kept my 1100mAh Smok 'twist' style batteries and an iClear16 just for that purpose. Nothing I'd vape all day, but if it fell in the water and sank, no real loss. I bring two of them and I am good to go all day. Good luck and have fun!

I have been experimenting with every type of atomizer, reomiser, carto, etc for 8 months now. I am now using a Kanger Protank 2 but I rebuild my own microcoils with 100% cotton balls: 9 wraps (on a very small screwdriver) 30 ga Kanthal with a very small diameter gives me 1.7 ohms on the Kanger replacement head. I use the screwdriver to align the coil in the head while dropping the wires through the head, inserting the rubber grommet and twisting the wires off. I then remove the screwdriver and insert the wick, trim and it's good to go. Keeping the screwdriver in the coil while fixing the wires in place means that the coil remains aligned with the slots on the head - and then its easy to simply replace the wick (if you don't do this, the coil drops too low in the head and it's impossible to feed in a new wick).

I am getting tons of really clean vape. I also notice that my juice does not get "gunky" as quickly as it did when using bigger coils on either silica or cotton rope. I really do recommend rebuilding Kanger heads this way. I am also using my own juice (36PG/64VG, 6% Nic, 20%DRY4, and then Bav Cream, Hazelnut and Fr Vanilla - really nutty tobacco taste!

Hope this is useful info.
