there is no spring latch. it is a screw in.

I think screw-in may be misleading. If it's the same as the ones I have (and they do seem fairly commonplace now) it's probably best described as friction fit.

we tried to charge 510, 901 801 and 103 with the Universal chargers. all have worked well so far.

did you get the Universal charger from us? when did you order it?

No..I got all mine months ago in KR808D-1 kits I bought.

The ones I am trying to describe have spring loaded connectors that the +ve and -ve of the battery push into.
The outer wall of the battery "grabs" a tapered plastic ribbed insert, inside the charger, and that's what holds it in place.

It's hard to tell from the picture on the website but does this charger have an LED or something else to tell you when the battery is charged?

there is no spring latch. it is a screw in.

If it's a screw-in it can't charge all of the batteries listed. They have vastly different threads.

But... the one in the picture looks like the one that I received from V4L, and it's a friction fit. Charges everything that I have (510, 901, KR808, Revolver, SE Gold)

Yep. manual and auto 510/801/901/808's all fit.
