i use lifepo4 tenergy bats i know they are a safer chemistry but i also know they arnt protected cause tenergey told me so. the main reason they said is that the pcb would drop the voltage and they are naturaly less voltage to begain with. well my switch got stuck on a homemade mod and the sticker on my cartomizer split in two. and the plastick cap was melted to half its size and after that since i neglected to seal of the bat compatment with silicone (i use a steal pipe nipple) liquid shorted out my bat my girlfriend said its not hitting i tried to vape it would not but i noticed the top cap was hot so in both instences i quickly took the bats out and they were quite warm.

so with the info given do you think that unprotected lithium ion bats would have failed in those conditions were the lifepo4 did not
