I have decided to finally kick the IE habit. I do love my google toolbar and would love to install this in chrome. Anyone know where to do that at? I'd figure it out but I need to get orders out for the day and looking for an assist...

I do know google implements the address bar as a search box (omnibar they call it). But I like being able to click in the google toolbar search box and have it open my search results in another tab optionally if I want.

By the way one of the things that put me off chrome was previous version formatted ECFall the way across the monitor and on a large wide monitor it is disconcertign and nearly unreadable. This version seems to have solved that issue and properly formats the forum to be center oriented limited in width...got my Roboform working well now in chrome so I am all set...almost

Right now... Google doesn't have an add-on toolbar that provides the same features they have in the IE Google toolbar. I'm guessing that they feel since they include some of the same features directly into the browser, they don't need to make one... I'm with you, I liked being able to click on the search history drop down and that is my most missed feature.

ok thanks guys...and I concur red sock...zip I have always had it and used it here and there, I was put off with the way it displayed ECF but thats resolved now so I finally did default it : )

Wow its so freaking fast...thanks for the link erin

It is FAST, also, there is just about everything you could want as far as things to do with it. I have google translate as an extension up top to the right of my omnibar, built in for when I have a non-English speaking patient. It is enormously helpful.

We weren't referring to IE specifically as much as the add-on Google Toolbar which is available for both IE and FF. It has a feature that you simply click on a drop down on the search area and it lists your latest searchs, in Google you would first need to open the History page then repeat the search for the previous search or scroll through a long list of unrelated history until you found the search you performed earlier. I also liked it's highlight a search term on the current webpage feature, site search and there are also several additional little handy tools that were/are just a click away.

Highlight then right click; the context menu has "Search Google (or whatever your default search engine is) ..."

That is a very cool feature of Chrome...

Just to be clear of what I was referring too... in the Google Toolbar, the words found in the search box can be highlighted on the webpage you are viewing helping you locate the info you searched for

Hmm, it has been so long since I've used IE for anything except KMEP (stupid VA stuck on IE). Maybe it is a setting difference, if I start typing the in the omnibar it starts pulling up previous searches and visited sites.
