Looking for suggestions on upgrade from Halo Tritons. They have served me well for last 6 mos, but wanted something less fussier wherein I don't have to clean the threads when switching between juices etc.

I like the Halo triton looks, but easy maintenance is highly welcomed ;-
I don't care much for variable voltage, but something that can smoke tobacco flavors, easy to carry, not bulky etc.

Per my research, the Kangers are great in terms of durability/maintenance? Any specific model I should be buying?

Much thanks!

Hi Primus,

Welcome to ECF. I use Kanger Aerotanks mostly, and they perform rather well. When I switched from the top coil clearomizers like the ones Halo sells to an aerotank it felt like a big upgrade. The adjustable airflow is a big reason - it will allow you to tune the amount of air passing through the clearomizer to your personal preference. They are not without their own maintenance requirements though. When switching between liquids I generally disassemble the aerotank (which is quite easy), and rinse all the components with cold water. Dry the parts with a paper towel, reassemble, and refill with liquid. If you decide to upgrade and you have problems like gurgling, dry hits, or anything else just pop a post on the forums and most likely someone will be able to point you in the right direction.

If your Triton battery doesn't have variable voltage you might also want to consider getting a new battery. A Vision Spinner II, Ego Twist, or MVP are all good options. The key points here are a bigger battery with longer life, and variable voltage so you can dial in the right power level. The MVP is an especially good bet, and can be found for around $40 from online retailers. Good luck!

the triton is as low maintenance as they come, but new is good, the word on the street is the aspire mini nautilus is the leader, but it's over $20/tank, and won't fit on the triton battery. something like a vision spinner and an ego twist (not sure what to recommend here, but 2 is better than 1 in case of malfunctions) with as many mini nautilus tanks as you can afford would be a nice upgrade.

I love indoorsmokers on youtube, very funny, smart and right in your niche

For clearos, you probably won't find anything less hassle free than a Triton...

Thx scratchtheweasel/chesty/susan~s/stevegmu!! U guys rock!

The aspire nautilius do look solid. Maybe that will be my next purchase.
I'll follow your advice for now and stick to the tritons before I go invest in a newer tank and/or battery system.

I have another post looking for best tobacco flavors.
Can't wait to try s'thing new which truly tastes like tobacco. A lil sweetness here n there is ok, but tobacco needed ;-
Hope u guys had a good weekend. Wishing you a great week ahead.

I started with the Halo Triton. For stick batts, using a basic clearo it really doesnt get much "hassle free" than that.

If you are looking to upgrade from the tritons, i would say avoid going with Stick Batteries, such as an ego or what. Maybe look at a Innokin MVP with a nautilius or aerotank. Only reason I say avoid Stick Batts from another vendor, is because it wont really give you the performance a "real" tank deserves.
