Hey i have a vision spinner 2 with a protank 2 mini and a protank 3 v2 what would be a better choice for me im looking at the vamo v5 or the mvp 2 havnt seen much els for the same price range i dont want to spend too much money

Either will be a good upgrade. Depends if you want the convenience of a removeable battery or not.

My V5 has an adjustable 510 pin which tended to, er, self adjust. That was a pain till I fixed it.

If you don't want a removeable battery then get the MVP2 or MVP20.

Most here will recommend the eleaf istick, but I've not tried it...

You would be better off buying the MVP 20 watt (NOT the MVP 2) or an eLeaf iStick (20 watt or 30 watt, either model is fine). As for a clearomizer, there will be many varied opinions, most of which will include the Aspire Nautilus Mini, or the Kanger Subtank Mini. If you choose to look at the Subtank mini, you may want to invest in a 30 watt mod (i.e. the iStick 30 watt). All of these are good upgrades from protanks and spinner batteries.

While the VAMO v5 is a fine mod, and the MVP 2.0 is a fine mod, they are a bit dated and you can find better options in the same price range.

I don't have the i-stick either, but if you want to upgrade I'd suggest get a device that will deliver you at least 30 watts maybe 40. The way things seem to be going now with sub ohm clearos like the
ego one(20 bucks)
or the Atlantis, I think it's the way to go. Got both the one and aspire atlantis the other day and the
0.5 ohm coils are wonderful performers. My old provari can't fire them so on the shelf it goes.

I probably won't vape anything over 1 ohm or so ever again. They've ruined me for everything else!
But I'm a much happier vaper today than I was last Friday.

Assuming all other variables to be equal, what do you feel is the difference between vaping a 0.5 ohm coil at 40W as opposed to vaping a 1.5 ohm coil at 40W?

My understanding is that they should be very similar.

Yes, we are seeing clearos with lower resistance coils, but on the other hand we are seeing higher powered mods.

Hi: I went from the spinner battery to the Nautilus Mini and the iStick 20 watt. Been vaping for about 2 months and I am ready to go to the next level. I need to learn more about sub ohm and batteries before I buy anything. But I can say I am very happy with the Nautilus Mini and the iStick gives me almost 3 days of battery life before I charge it. Guess it depends on how you vape.

I have the MVP2 and a Vamo V6. I don't use the MVP so much these days as I've upgraded to a couple other box mods. Remember you'll have to factor in good batteries and a charger if you lean toward the Vamo. That right there could run you an extra $30-50 depending on what batteries and charger you're looking at.

I'm waiting on the iStick 50W. Great range (although you'd need a 510/eGo adapter) but 4400maH life!

Decisions, decisions.... I always recommend making a Pros & Cons list whenever someone asks me advice on making a choice about something. Consider all the factors, price, power range, replaceable/non-replaceable batteries, form factor, etc.

I've only been vaping for about a year, and I've seen soooooo many changes in just the last 6 months alone. You can get something sturdy to get yourself by, or you can push the envelope a bit and maybe not need to upgrade quite so soon.

Hey Doofy666, like I said in my post I just got the 2 low ohm tanks but it was easy to notice the improved performance, numbers aside. Using them on a mech right now which puts out about 32 watts on a fully
charged battery(4.2v).

The higher wattage mods are needed to power lower ohm coils safely.

I'd only be guessing to answer this, I've vaped nothing in the 40 watt range.....YET. My guess is 3 times the vapour and flavour... Cheers!

MVP v.2 was the mod of 2014.

Sadly, it's not the mod of 2015. It has some siblings though.

The younger sister is a good looker with some go in her - she offers 20w.
There is now a big brother who looks like a bit weird, but pumps out 30w.

Personally, I wouldn't buy either.

I sold my MVP on for £10 and use the Vamo V5 less than 10% of the time.

iStick all the way for me. The 30w is the one to go for... not for the power necessarily, but for "upgrades" (improvements) in the design of the connector.
