Again I'm pretty much brain-dead on Echos or 808s other than what I've read on the forum, but seems to me if they both have the 808 (I'm thinking this would be KR808D-1) threading and the resistance is compatible the cartos would work interchangeably. I do know you do *not* want to use a low resistance carto on a slim (or low mAh) battery, for the sake of the battery. I'm just guessing here but it's possible an extension type adapter might be needed to use standard KR808 cartos on your Echo... hopefully Swedishfish will be back with more info on this. She's one of the very knowledgeable folks on here about 808 stuff!

I would suggest, if possible keep your slim batt stuff up & running for "spare" service if nothing else. But you probably already knew that I guess. :D Happy vaping! :toast:

I've used v4l cartos and liked them. I would think that their 808's wouldn't have any longer battery charge than a smoov or bloog - which btw are good quality also.

It's hard to compare but I would probably consider myself a medium to heavy vaper and I get around 5 hours out of my batteries. How much time to you get out of the vpl batteries?

well i chain vape and i would say i get a few hours out of each xl 808 . i have a set up of two on charge and one being used
also as for cartomizers, i tried the cool carts first and they were not satisfactory
so i notice quite a bit of a difference between the wow carts which i find work very well for the voltage of the 808's, and the cool carts. the cool carts may be best used for higher voltage such as a usb set up.

Cropuster is a great supplier. Unfortunately, he does not make the cartos. Nor can he test them to see how they vape. We are always at the mercy of china qc. I've gotten good and not so good from just about every supplier I deal with. And I've purchased from just about every recommended supplier here for various hardware. The echo is simply a longer lasting 808 at this time. "Superior" is a tough word to use. If you like auto 808s, the echo is the only viable upgrade. It is like an all day version of kr8s. It does have one of the best, most responsive auto switches I have ever used. I will say that. Wait until you get your new juice in before you go filling up any new echos.
Somebody over in the kr8 subforum might know the ratio of bloog's juice.

I rotate through 4 808's at a time. 2xl and 2 shorties all the time. I also chain vape... I am going to have to try a Echo here soon. Hopefully a vendor at one of the upcoming Chicago shows will have one for me to buy.

All the suppliers are waiting now.........A few 650s and 1300s. Mostly in black. I'm in need of a larger chrome. Waiting very patiently. It's just a higher mah version of what you have. Battery is smooth as I've ever had. Filling big cartos can have a learning curve as you see but they work with your favorite 808 cartos in the meantime. If you use 4 kr8s all the time you may want to go straight to the 1300. I think Mtn Vapor lets you get both the 650 and 1300 in the same kit but last I checked, he's low on stock too!

Great news! I ruined yet another carto yesterday but.......filled another last night and this morning I was just about to take a puff when I remembered that Charlz said to make sure make sure the inner tube was clear and to make sure the filler was pushed down. I took the carto back of the battery and blew down the center and some juice came out. I tapped the carto thread side down in my palm just as he suggested.

I have now been vaping for three hours and it is working beautifully. Great taste, lots of vapor and so far no burnt taste.

Hopefully I have now learned how to properly fill the cartos.

Thanks so much Charlz!!!!!!:toast:

Possibly and I'm sure it will take some more practice. I'm still vaping away and all is going well but now I am getting some juice coming into the tip and my mouth sometimes. I've heard people talk that this was common and they used different tips. Could you or anyone recommend what tips fit? I have some (can't remember but they are probably Bloog or Smoov) but they don't fit.

Thanks!

801 drip tips work best. Cropduster has round holed ones. The whistle tips trap condensation which is a common issue with all big cartos that have some space between the filler an tip. Pop off the top and blow it out. Vaporking has a great deal on 801 drip dtips. I prefer the delrin for teeth chomping but the aluminum does a better job with conensation buildup. Just can't get used to metal tips. Especially this time of year. Electronic cigarette drip tips for 801 style atomizers So the colored ones mainly serve to keep track of what flavors each carto is.

They can spit a little when freshly filled but mainly the condensation will taste just like the juice as is returns to liquid state.

@swedishfish - could you please explain a little more. What would I need and adapter for? Is that to make the smaller carto fit the fatter battery?

Or are you recommending the IKV's? I've seen those before but was confused because they are called 808 but in the description it says it fits a 901. I also don't see how that would fit on an echo or is that the adapter you are talking about?

I'm sorry I am sooooo dense! I would really appreciate yours or anyone's specific recommendations. I don't understand how you make the smaller cartos fit the echo battery. Would I need an adapter for that?

I'm sorry, I didn't see this before.

Most of the boge and smoktek cartos are 510. You'd need an adaptor for them to work on your echo. MadVapes, Good Prophets and many other vendors sell inexpensive adapters you just screw on your battery.

Do the V4L and other KR808 cartos fit on your echo? If they do, the cartos at Ikenvape should fit. They aren't quite as big as the echo carto but they are lower resistance and you'll get a warmer vape with them. You should not need an adaptor if other KR808 cartos fit on your echo. But with 510 cartos you would need one.

One of the good features with the echo cartomizers is that unlike other cartomizers, they can be cleaned. The batting can be removed. If you do a search or look in the big echo or go go thread there are instructions on how to do this.

Madvapes has a 900 mAh KR808 Ego for 18.99, but you have to get an adapter for the charger. That's all I've found yet.
