These are the original and BEAUTIFUL panels that BBV made back in 2016, but stopped producing them early on. This set is in absolutely perfect condition, and was only used to take the pictures. As for a description, well, I'll let DD of BBV take that, since I could never equal his original comments (see below):
"Yah, so Kirinite is kinda way super neat and awesome... it's a modern acrylic material made here in the USA that is just drop dead gorgeous. This stuff is mainly used in on high end knife and pistol grips. I'v been testing with a set of plates made out of this stuff for the past two months and it hold up really well, even to some good drops to the concrete. Of course it is nowhere near as durable as G10, this material is all show, but though it can scratch, it is easily buffed back out again. It is somewhat transparent so you can see the inlay'ed magnets from the outside (see da' pic, especially on the lighter colors), and even the glow of the dna screen if you're in a dark room. We don't know what we are going to do with this material right yet, as it is very expensive and takes a long time and attention to detail to finish... we don't see the being in our everyday production quite yet until we get some better processes worked out... so for the time being we're just gonna throw some on the dead dolphin blackFlip until we figure it out...."
