Selling: Reo Grand + RM2 for tinkering / repairs, $55 shipped

Condition: Poor

Known flaws: Removed the original bottom spring and replaced with a solid screw + soldering. works with nipple batteries but highly recommend user get new spring / bottom screw. Door is worn down.

Description:
A REO Grand + RM2 that DOES NEED REPAIR. At the least a new spring & spring screw. door is old and paint shows, paint is damaged / removed on body on several places. This is a tinkerer's item. Door + Body can be brought to polished / raw Aluminum. I will remove the bottom fixed pin I created.

THIS IS A TINKERER's PIECE, you will have to invest $20 ~ $50 based on what you want to do with the door and body paint. Requires spring + spring screw. It will have an extra hole at the bottom at the end of the repairs (call it extra venting )

While not a bad price you may have trouble selling this. Unfortunately, I have been unable to sell perfectly good REO Grands for $50. The market is more friendly to folks who want 3D printed squonkers.

Yeah I know. I'm not on a hurry to sell it, may restore it myself when i have some time.

This is one of the reos used way back in the day when me, pdib & then Rob started exploring how to minimize the VDrop on the reos. That thread is what got Rob onto providing the new improved springs. Pdib announced his OliveR squonker shortly after

yeah it's a tinkerer's item, but it can be fully restored by a hobbyist / someone who wants to tinker

Remove paint on body & door for a raw aluminum reo

Sandpaper it to full polish if you like the look

New spring & spring screw (about $17 shipped if i recall)

that's all thats needed.

old timers in the reo thread loved bringing them to full polish or painting them to their taste.
