May I ask what the specific problems you had were?

I had to throw mine away too and promptly bought 3 authentics. No problem whatsoever with the real ones. The sleeve inside the cap on the clone became loose and caused a short when it rattled around and made contact with the coil (its so small in there- there is no room for error). Luckily, I was using it on a Reo and just had to replace a spring and not half my face.
