I know right?!

Thinking about calling HOH in my old stumpin' Grounds (Spencerport NY) to see IF or when they may be getting more from Merciless MFG. I placed my email on the "Let me know when" List.
Gotta guy in our Shop that has high-dollar CNC Machines and may see if he would/could produce one... Maybe a cap/cover that would slide down over the OEM Std Kabuki not covering the bottom screw-off Base and cover the Top as well with a matching drill/cut-out for the DT. hmmmmmmmm,,,,

You might really be on to something there...

Making a top cap, with the “shield” all in one would be a great move.

I wouldn’t even make it a separate piece.

It would just one piece that would cover the glass, but also replace the top cap!

Agree but that would add material and several more machining processes (integral chimney tube and interior threading) increasing costs & time. Gotta keep it simple as not to also dampen my Bud's "desire" to be "helpful"...
I was thinking more a simple Slide-Over that would cover the OEM Top-Cap and Glass such as the plentiful accessories for automobiles (which are merely chrome-clad ABS) to cover Door Handles, Mirrors, etc. Of course this would be of thin SS or Alum. & have ornate cut-outs on the cylinder section like the one pic'd above by Merciless.

Well,,, can be from as simple as line the inner upper-cap surface with that "glue-booger" stuff or add a Keeper-Slot under the cap for an o-ring to grab on & hold to the Drip-Tip and a thin layer of felt or silicone around the inner lower edge of the Sleeve section to prevent slopping around and to provide some adhesion to the Tank.... several possibilities.

I have a couple. Not the protective glass, and I don't think mine were authentic I got them from Fasttech but they worked just fine. You could look there.

They worked just fine, that is, until I broke the glass on my couple. It is actually achievable I am afraid.

Then again I am starting to think I need to be wrapped in bubble wrap. Honestly

Well Miss Anna,,,, I followed your direction and advice and just pulled the trigger on 3 of the Shield/Glass Assemblies from ol' FakeTek... $9.61 total including extra for the Express ePacket shipping.
So, that should put it here between Christmas and Armageddon ;)

Seriously tho, thanks much for the Info and Option :)

**Still interested in finding and purchasing the "real-deal" from HOH/Merciless MFG if someone sees this.

Thanks much for the gracious offer
Well, in your defense, all the Reviews on FakeTek referred to the fragile nature of the glass portion of their kits. Figured I'd get 3 for that reason and I may take one of the shields and have my Bud laser-cut one length-wise so can spread it out & over the OEM Glass. May look OK given spreading apart and the increased O.D. of the OEM will leave an approx. 1-1.5cm gap. Just wanted for the aesthetic value only to better match being attached to a Provari P3 in 18500 config.
May even really "Redneck it up" by using matte silver paint-pen on the glass in the gap to mask the void...
I'll let ya know how that turns out and if works, you may wanna hold on to yours and have a local place cut one for you to use.
