Lucky, draw a box that's 18mm wide, and 650 mm long, then add maybe a centimeter in length and a half centimeter in width. the 18x650 box represents the battery, the extra length and width represent the case. That's what I estimate the size to be, I don't think it's going to be as big as we think.

And you could use it to club people over the head with if you feel the need. :D

Fill, hahahahaha!! Okay give me those mm numbers in inches so I can figure it out easier with a ruler. LOL Then I will draw one just for you so I can see.:cry:8-o

Which charger would you recommend to order with these?

Funny, I was just checking those out. Please note, I don't have any personal experience with charging these types of batteries. I am sure someone here is far more qualified than I to provide you with a more definitive answer / recommendation.

I did narrow my search to these three chargers:

DealExtreme: $12.46 UltraFire 3.6/3.7V Battery Charger

DealExtreme: $7.92 Digital Li-Ion 18650 Battery Charger

DealExtreme: $8.81 TrustFire All-in-One Charger (for 10430/10440/14500/16340 /17670/18650/CR123A)

As I prefer reliability, I will probably get the more expensive one- UltraFire 3.6/3.7V Battery Charger (it's also for the UltraFire batteries).

Steve,

Is there any validity to what EDO was saying about the "taste of the e liquid being unbearable" running 2 x RCR 123a's 3v ea. w/801.

I'm sure you cats have been extensively testing these units with the user in mind. That being said, is it just a matter of taking shorter drags than usual, and paying VERY close atten. to topping and dripping after 10 - 15 drags?

I think I'll take the advice of the creator, and go with the 2 x RCR 123a's 3v ea. w/801 setup, though nobody likes nasty tasting juice. By following the mindful topping / dripping / shorter drags....Will this be the perfect answer to Great Taste / HUGE Throat hits / HUGE VAPOR?

Thank you for your speedy reply, and awesome knowledge : )

Best,
Mr.e

10-15 drags?....I don't know about that...those would have to be awfully short drags. I can't take five or six 3-4 second drags with my 801 while dripping with out needing to drip again. And who wants to drip with 801s anyway? Have you tried dripping with the 801s? Not so easy. And with 7volts you would have to drip....there is no way you can use it with the cart....it will burn the cart up. People burn their cart up with Screwdriver, Dura C etc. and that is at 3.7 volts. The only way to use a 7 volt device is to use it with the 901s since they are made to drip with and then you will have to drip take 3-4 hits and then drip again.

Most people will have to use this device with the 18650 battery. What is the point of a 2500mah battery? It will be like carrying a very thick flashlight in your pocket at all times. The prodigy has a nice design...it should be made with a 900mah 14500. If any one wants to use that as a 7volt ecig..they can use 2 x 1/2AA 350mah batteries...just when they want a strong hit and feel like dripping.

Hey Flitz ... Lets see if I can help answer your questions:

As far as version 1, everything has to start somewhere, this doesn't mean we haven't fully tested it. She (referring to the Prodigy) will be carrying a 6 month warranty, so that should more than cover any issues. The only issue I can see having issues would be the button and associated plastics/soldering. Other than that, hard parts/pressed parts etc... I highly doubt we will ever have an issue with. Unless it gets run over by an 18 wheeler :D Also, it will still carry the 7-14 day *warming up* period. Meaning, for any reason, if you don't like it after 7-14 days, you can return it :)

The LED is off for now. We care more about overall size and performance over asthetics, however, we are thinking about asthetics for future releases :)

thanks buddy! and i do hope you know, i was merely playing devil's advocate and didn't intend to come off snooty ;) the 6 month warranty i think will seal the deal though. i've been fighting the urge to get a bigger monster PV and i think i may just have to snag one EVEN THOUGH it doesn't have neon lights and a flashing disco ball on it. ;p i've probably spent more on vaping in the past 6 months than i would be on smoking for the whole year though...damn this addiction to technology....

and as i'm sure you're busy prepping for this sale...at some point would someone mind listing comprehensive size specs on the parts, broken down? i.e. batteries, unassembled Prodigy, etc. i may start tracing out a new carrying case...and curious if i could even fit it in something i have!

I was wondering if your going to have a smaller version of the Prodigy which will only house one rcr123 battery or a 14500? I really love the idea of a quality ecig made in the US. But the prodigy is huge. I don't think any one wants/needs the capacity of the 18650 battery and the 2 CR123 batteries will blow most atomizer away in short time. In an earlier post you mentioned that the prodigy with 2 x cr123 will work optimally with 801s. I have 801s that run hot just with passthroughs at 4-5volts....the prodigy at 7+ volts will make the taste of the liquids unbearable....not to mention you would have to top of every couple of hits. It is proven that Trogs SD works very well...the only complaint usually is the position of the switch and it turning on in your pocket. The prodigy addresses those issues. So what is the point of making the prodigy so large? IMHO you really should offer a mini prodigy as well.

We may be looking at a smaller version in the future. To pump 5-6v+, we will be looking at smaller batteries. We will have a few versions ... This one being the First ofcourse :)

Mr. E ... All I personally use is (2) RCR123's at 6v+ with an 801, and everything tastes perfectly fine. If you run 6v+ on a 901 for longer than a couple seconds yes it will taste burnt. I really can get a good 10-15 puffs on 6v using an 801 and about 3 drips of liquid. As soon as you get used to 6v ... everything else seems weak. Fresh batts (for pen or mini) or even 3.6v seem very very weak to me now.

I was wondering.....if I get a 901 setup, will the 801 adapter be an extension from the 901 female connector or will it be a whole new top part?

A whole new top Part. Simple screw on/off without any special tools necessary. :)

With an initial run of 1000 (I think that's what it was...) I don't think anyone will be left out in the cold.

I hope thats the case im kinda assuming thats one of the reasons for the presale is to gauge how many to actually manfacture.
Im sure they have to do at least 1000 as a minamum order for whatever company is actually going to manufacture it.
My hope is they get many more orders and are able to fill them all and make the prodigy a glorious success
Hears to hoping (holds up a wine glass) (cheers)
