Hi Walrus- the first production run of 1000 is being split with their UK partner (at least that was what i could gather from this post). I read somewhere something about 800 US / 200 UK..... I'm just hoping to get my preorder in cuz 3 of my 4 BB's just died within the last 48 hours.

On 3/20 the site didnt go live until what time??? anybody know?

Even if that's true... what are the chances of 800 early adopters hogging them all up in one day?

walrus,
I know what you mean, its just that I dont want to be the 1,001st person to log on to their website LOL. I hope my last BB lasts for a couple more weeks cuz i got a vegas trip coming up and dont want to have to go back to analogs during my trip. I might just get a disposable for the trip although I see many who love and others that hate it.
BTW- from what i understand the 801 is the way to go- cash says its what he uses. What do you think?
Thanks!

Well... with my SD I use both 801 and 901 attys.... Depends on my desire at the time. The 901's give a harsher hit. If I just want a smooth vape I go with the 801.

I have around 12 cr123 batteries lying around, but also have an 18650 that I accidentally ordered (don't ask). I'm planning on getting the Prodigy with both an 801 and 901 adapter, and once again going both ways (about the only time I'll say I do that). I'll probably order the 901 kit so that I can get another 18650 battery, but I'll be getting the 801 adapter as well.

[edit] actually, I'll probably order just a basic kit (the body) and the adapters if possible. I don't need another charger (I have one that will charge 18650's) and I'm set on atty's as well. I can pick up batteries pretty cheaply.

LOL that did sound funny!
I'm learning all I can about the 801 and 901 because I have exclusively used BB's. I think I'll do what you mentioned and get a kit (but ill get the 801) and an adapter (901) so that way I will have the ability to use both and learn while I vape, the difference between the 2.
I am really interested in the US atomizer Cash mentioned. I said a while ago in one of the posts that we needed some good old fashioned AMERICAN ingenuity and dammit Cash answered the call.

So how much do you think it is going for w/ 901/801 and USB??

gotta guess

Well, the USB isn't for the Prodigy. It wouldn't make sense to have one for it anyway.

My understanding is that you order either an 801 kit or 901 kit, and purchase the other adapter separately.

They could ask more, but I think $129 would be reasonable (hopefully less). I'd expect adapters to run around $30 (once again, hopefully less). This is all speculation, of course, based on what I'd be willing to pay. That said, I'd probably pay more.

Walrus thanks for the info on the USB, you are right, it does not need it.
I think it will be closer to 149.00 plus the SD is 160 the GG is the same
Steve is no idiot, I do not think he will take advantage of the situation, we will see soon enough

walrus- what is the throat kick like on a 901 and 801 compared to the bada bing? I like the throat kick i get with my BB (with a fresh batt). In your opinion is there a HUGE difference between these models in terms of throat kick? Sorry for asking so many newb questions but I di appreciate the advice!

Ken

Well... it just so happens that I also have a RN4062, which is the Bada-Bing. It's a cooler draw, and produces more vapor than standard 901's or 801's. The 801 is closer than the 901, though. The 901 gives a much harsher throat hit than either, especially when powered by a CR123 battery. The 18650 battery will provide the same, but last 3 times as long. The 801 when powered by 2 cr123's will probably be enough to choke a horse, but I'm speculating as I've never run one at 6v. Both will be hotter than the e-cigar.

Keep in mind (and I wonder if it's occured to anyone) that in order to keep the 801 atty's at 6v, you need to buy 3v CR123s, not the 3.6v or 3.7v types.

walrus- i was just thinking the same regarding the 123's at 3v. I searched deal x treme and found a pack of 2 123 3v for $7.07.
I just wish we had some info regarding the starter kits right now so that we could get on the site and have a clear idea of our purchase so more customers and get on and off and not tie things up in their carts.

I think we will start getting these around june 8th or so....
