I have just received my USB pass through from TW (has the inline battery), and I have to say, I'm in Love!" I have also purchased the Kensington battery pack as advised by so many on the forum.
Question is: I also have an old usb power pack from socket. This thing is about 8 years old (bought it when I bought my first PDA). It still works like a champ but outpus 5V at 1.8 Amps - 7,200 mAh. So far I've been unwilling to hook the pass through up to it in fear of frying my atty or the pass through.

Anyone see problems with that output?

Any help appreciated.

There would be no problem hooking up the 510 with the inline batt on an 1.8ma connection. Some run them off 2 amps. Another mod removes the inline batt and runs directly off the Kensington or 1-2 amp usb plugs but then you're on your own and of course it would void any warranty, but there are many here that run the passthrough that way - running a straight 5 volts. Check the modder's forum in the battery section.
